DARLINGTON - Terrashia L. Brown, 20, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Friday, Aug. 24, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

MONROE - On Saturday, Aug. 25:
- A mother called police at 8:40 p.m. to report that earlier in the evening, the father of her children saw a dark green car with tinted windows and four black occupants stop in the 1800 block of 10th Street. A woman got out of the car and asked a 4-year-old girl outside playing if she was OK. The father, who was across the street at the time, yelled at the woman, who got back in the car and drove away. Officers searched the area for the vehicle but didn't locate it. Police have no evidence of suspicious activity, according to Chief Fred Kelley.
On Monday, Aug. 27:
- Trevor R. Frie, 21, Winslow, Ill., was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, physical abuse of a child, bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia (a pipe) at 10:56 p.m. in the 200 block of West 21st Street. Police responded to two calls from neighbors complaining of a disturbance and found Frie on the nearby bike trail. Frie reportedly pushed and elbowed three juvenile teenage girls. One of the girls, a 16-year-old of Monroe, was left with red marks and soreness. Frie was jailed pending court.
- An employee at The Garden Spot, 3002 13th St., called police at 2:58 p.m. to report that a woman charged with burglarizing the business in June had returned, in violation of a court order to not have contact with the garden shop. Linda A. Kuoppala, 35, Monroe, told police she came to the business to apologize for the burglary. She had reportedly been drinking beforehand. The case was referred to the District Attorney for a possible bail jumping charge.
- Garage sale signs affixed to utility poles in the 1800 block of 12th Street were removed at about 11 a.m. It is a violation of city code to attach signs to city property.
- The caretaker of a unoccupied, empty home in the 1600 block of 17th Street reported at 4:32 p.m. that a door had been forced open. Nothing was taken.

- Casey J. Bennett, 25, Benton, was taken into custody at 3:38 p.m. on a Department of Corrections probation violation at a residence on West Main Street in Benton. He was jailed.
- Anthony P. Byrne, 39, Apple River, Ill., was cited for speeding at 4:32 a.m. on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne.
- Luis L.C. Aguilara, Rockford, Ill., was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:39 p.m. on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.
