MONROE - On Thursday, Aug. 23:
• Tracy A. McCall, 45, Monroe, was arrested at 11:14 a.m. on a charge of shoplifting a shirt and jewelry from Shopko, 405 W. 8th St., and then jailed on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department for writing worthless checks.
• A 9-year-old boy was referred to Juvenile Intake/Green County Human Services after police were called at 6:30 p.m. to the 2600 block of 14th Avenue. The boy allegedly urinated in a sandbox and then brought over other children - ages 2, 4, and 8 - to sit in the wet sand.
• A mountain bicycle was found in the 2100 block of 8th Street and brought at 6:36 p.m. to the police station. To claim, call dispatch at 329-2400.
• The theft of a bicycle was reported at 10:45 p.m. in the 300 block of 3rd Street. Police suggested the complainant come to the police station to see if one of the bicycles found and impounded in recent weeks was hers.

MONROE - Sarah L. Bishop, 23, Madison, was arrested in the Probation and Parole Office at the Green County Justice Center at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. She was incarcerated.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Aug. 23:
• Shawn P. Reiss, 31, Hartland, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid motorcycle license at 8:27 a.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.
• Kenneth P. Smith, 24, Hazel Green, was cited for speeding at 8:55 a.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.
• Lori A. Wilson-McGowan, 45, Monticello, was cited for speeding at 10:28 a.m. on County D in the Town of Lamont.
• Terry J. Brauckman, 40, West Des Moines, Iowa, was cited for driving with no valid driver's license and no proof of vehicle insurance at 12:36 p.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.
• Candice L. Steffens, 24, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded at 6 p.m. to a complaint of a vehicle driving recklessly on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Gratiot. Steffens was apprehended on Wis. 11 in Benton.
