Monroe Police

MONROE - On Tuesday, Aug. 14:

- William E. Messerli, 65, Monroe, was arrested on charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 8:13 a.m. at Dick's Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th St. He was confined.

- Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St., reported a gas drive-off of $65.20 at 7:40 a.m. that had occurred at about 3:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13. Arrangements were made, and the fuel was paid for.

- A sick raccoon was euthanized after a person reported finding the animal in the yard of an apartment complex in the 700 block of 12th Avenue at 9:52 a.m.

- Police are investigating a report from a resident at 12:23 p.m. that a person was giving liquor to a juvenile in the 500 block of West 21st Street.

- A person was warned at 4:12 p.m. for driving an ATV in Honey Creek Park, 1077 4th Ave. W.

n A vehicle egging was reported at 6:33 p.m. in the 1700 block of 9th Street.

- Police were called at 8:10 p.m. to a report of a 9-year-old boy fighting with family members in the 500 block of West 21st Street. The case was referred to Green County Juvenile Intake.

- Residents in the 400 block of West 21st Street complained at 9:36 p.m. of a dog barking and disturbing the neighborhood. An officer was dispatched and learned the owner of the dog is in jail. The officer advised the dog's interim caretaker to care better of the animal.

MONROE - On Tuesday, Aug. 14:

- Jillian A. Gowen, 25, Monticello, was charged with felony escape after she attempted to flee a courtroom at the Green County Justice Center at about 3:45 p.m. Deputies assigned to bailiff duty transported Gowen, who was in jail on other charges, to the Justice Center for a sentencing hearing on burglary and theft convictions stemming from an incident in July 2011. While in court, Gowen escaped from her restraints and fled on foot. Deputies pursued her and took her into custody in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Department next door. She was again jailed. Her sentencing hearing was rescheduled for Aug. 23.

- Ryan M. Hoven, 18, rural Belleville, was arrested on charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies responded to a dispute at a residence on Blazer Road in the Town of Exeter at about 8:04 p.m. Hoven was jailed. He pleaded not guilty to the charges Wednesday during an initial appearance in court. His signature bond was set at $1,000.

- Alfredo Anaya, Sr., 51, Beloit, was cited for driving with a revoked license and without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:14 a.m. after deputies stopped him for a traffic infraction on Wisconsin 11 at Wisconsin 69 in the Town of Monroe.

- Darius L. Davidson, Jr., 23, Beloit, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 10:15 p.m. after deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on 16th Avenue at 9th Street in Monroe.
