BRODHEAD Police

BRODHEAD - On Monday, Aug. 2:

• Police stopped a vehicle for a person riding on the roof of the vehicle at 5:51 p.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Street. A 16-year-old Brodhead man was cited for reckless driving and permitting a passenger to ride illegally. A 17-year-old Brodhead man was also cited for riding illegally.

On Monday, Aug. 3:

• A 24-year-old Orfordville woman was arrested for failing to appear in Green County Circuit Court on forgery and theft of a firearm at 7:39 p.m. in the 700 block of 13th Street. She was also cited for driving a motor vehicle after her driving privileges had been suspended.

• Police responded at 9:31 p.m. to the 1000 block of 21st Street regarding two parties arguing. Police warned two people who were arguing over the activities of one of the party's child.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4:

• Police secured an open door at a closed business at 9:52 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5

• Police responded to the 500 block of 12th Street for a report of vandalism to a residence at 11:01 p.m. The case is currently under investigation.

On Thursday:

• Police responded to a report of a theft at 3:55 p.m. in the 1800 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police took the report and checked the area; the property was recovered and delivered to the owner.

On Friday:

• A 22-year-old Monroe man was cited for driving without a license at 3:27 p.m. in the 900 block of East 9th Avenue. The subject was released.

On Saturday:

• Police responded at 4:25 a.m. to the area of Ten Eyck Road and 17th Street for a report of a sign vandalized.

• A 19-year-old Juda man was arrested for knowingly fleeing an officer, driving a motorcycle without a valid license, reckless driving, speeding, having no vehicle insurance, and non-registration of automobile at 5:35 p.m. at the intersection of 1st Center Avenue and Alpine Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Deni Pedro Rodriguez, 25, Beloit, was cited for having no valid driver's license and having no proof of insurance at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday following a vehicle stop for a traffic violation in the W1800 block of Wisconsin 11 in Town of Spring Grove. He was released.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:

• Jerod Sandlin, 23, Brodhead, was cited for texting while driving at 12:10 a.m. on Wis. 11 in the Village of South Wayne.

• Laura Gundlach, 45, Shullsburg, was picked up on a valid warrant and transported to the Lafayette County Jail at 12:32 p.m.

• Daniel Maher, 23, Wheaton, Ill., was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing THC at 5:17 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Village of South Wayne.
