Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Two Darlington brothers were jailed on charges of sexual assault and face deportation hearings following arrests Tuesday, April 3, based on an investigation on Louisa Street. Ignacio Garcia, 18, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. for sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl. Daniel Garcia, 21, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. for sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. The contact between the girls and the Garcia men was not random or forcible, according to Police Chief Jason King.

- Juan Mendoza-Sanchez, 22, Darlington, was issued citations at about 7:10 p.m. Monday, April 2, for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Matthew C. Kernen, 25, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold at 12:55 p.m. Monday, April 2, and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed.

- Joshua C. Broge, 23, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, bail jumping and strangulation, and Heather R. G. Hale, 22, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery at 1:52 p.m. Monday, April 2, after officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of 5th Avenue. Broge was jailed. Hale was released pending a mandatory appearance in court.

DARLINGTON - Gary R. Busch, 41, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, March 31, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Zachary W. Johnson, 20, Browntown, was cited for speeding at 1:55 p.m. Saturday, March 31, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

- Kathleen Hart, 41, Winslow, Ill., was cited for speeding at 6:38 p.m. Saturday, March 31, on County W in the Town of Monticello.

- Eric R. Gieseke, 19, Sheboygan, was cited for speeding and driving at unreasonable and imprudent speeds at 12:54 p.m. Sunday, April 1, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Linda M. Stombaugh, 43, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 7:12 p.m. Sunday, April 1, on Wis. 23 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Deputies took a report at 1:16 a.m. Saturday, March 31, of worthless checks written in Benton.

- Deputies responded at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, March 31, to a residence on Main Street in Gratiot for a civil dispute over threats to injure a cat.

- The theft of an ATV was reported at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, on County W in the Town of Monticello.

- A theft of tools was reported at 10:57 a.m. Sunday, April 1, on County G in the Town of Belmont.
