Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On March 31:

• Luis Alberto Estrada-Nava, 25, Monroe, was cited for operating without a valid license (2nd offense within three years) and operate a vehicle without insurance at 6:32 a.m. in the N6300 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. Luis was released with a mandatory court appearance.

• Tai E. Liphart, 33, Freeport, Illinois, was arrested on a Monroe Police Department warrant for failure to pay fine at 5:14 p.m. in the N800 block of County G in the Town of Spring Grove. Liphart was transported to the Green County Jail where she posted bond. Liphart was cited for operating while revoked, warned for speeding, and released with a court date.

On April 1:

• John V. Adamo, 26, Monroe, turned himself in at 9:04 p.m. at the Green County Sheriff's Office. A warrant had been issued for Adamo from the Wisconsin Department of Community Corrections. Adamo was jailed.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On March 22:

• Anita M. Klassy, 59, New Glarus, was cited for disorderly conduct in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Devon K. Jacobson, 24, New Glarus, was cited for theft and disorderly conduct after an incident in the 1000 block of 8th Street on March 22.

On March 26:

• Police took custody of a multi-colored cat brought to the police department by a citizen at 11:10 a.m. A citizen found the cat in the 400 block of 8th Avenue. The cat was turned over to the Green County Humane Society.

• An ATV backed into a parked car and was reported at 2:44 p.m. The incident occurred in rural Belleville in Dane County, so police assisted.

• Police assisted with a vehicle unlock at 2:44 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

• Police assisted with a vehicle unlock at 6:28 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

On March 27:

• Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock at 12:44 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wis. 69. The vehicle was unlocked without damage.

• Police attempted to capture a dog running loose at 9:53 p.m. in the area of 4th Street and 11th Avenue.

On March 28:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a vehicle check in the village at 1:25 a.m.

• Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock at 8:19 a.m. in the 700 block of Wis. 69. The vehicle was unlocked without damage.

• Jordan L. Coulthard, 24, South Wayne, was cited for excessive window tint at 10:38 a.m. on Wis. 69 at County W.

• Tracy L. Harrison, 32, New Glarus, was cited for operating while suspended after a traffic stop for a registration violation at 2:04 a.m. in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue.

• Johnathan M. Thorgerson, 23, Madison, was cited for a driver seatbelt violation at 5:30 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 14th Avenue.

• A juvenile was warned about village ordinances that apply to electric scooters at 7:16 p.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue. The New Glarus Police Department would like to remind its citizens that any type of play vehicle powered by an electric motor can not be operated on any village street or highway. They also cannot be operated on any sidewalk that is in or zoned in a business district area. They can be operated on sidewalks in areas that are zoned as residential. Contact the police department with questions.

On March 29:

• Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle lockout at 11:09 a.m. in the 400 block of Valley Lane. The vehicle was unlocked without damage.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:52 p.m. in the area of Railroad Street. The area was checked, and the vehicle was not located.

• Juveniles climbing the rocks and throwing them on the road was reported at 1:18 p.m. in the 900 block of Elmer Road. Contact was made, the juveniles were warned and they removed the rocks from the roadway.

• An abandoned vehicle was reported at 3:44 p.m. in the 1100 block of 2nd Street. The owner was located and they advised they would get the vehicle removed before the weekend.

• Gabriel L. Castro Rodriguez, 25, Monroe, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance after stopping the vehicle for a registration violation at 6 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

• Trey R. Leopold, 23, Monroe, was cited for the violations of driver seatbelt and no vehicle insurance at 6:05 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 14th Avenue.

• Joseph L. Silberschlag, 35, Monroe, was cited for expired registration after stopping the vehicle at 6:34 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue for another registration violation.

On March 30:

• Police removed a dead animal carcas from the road at 12:05 a.m.

• Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock at 12:49 p.m. in the Culver's parking lot. The vehicle was unlocked without damaging it.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with an active burglar alarm at 12:59 p.m. on Legler Valley Road. Everything was fine and it was a false alarm.

• A suspicious person was reported at 2:18 p.m. in the 200 block of 12th Avenue. Police made contact.

On March 31:

• A lost men's gold wedding band was reported at 9:23 a.m. The ring was lost sometime last fall.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a report of horses out at 11:43 a.m. in the N9400 block of Wis. 69. No horses were located.

On April 1:

• Police assisted Monroe Police with a welfare check on a juvenile from an incident at a Monroe business at 6:33 p.m.
