MONROE - Barton C. Jackson, 62, Monroe, was arrested and jailed on charges of battery and disorderly conduct under domestic abuse laws at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in the 1700 block of 11th Street. The charges stem from an investigation into an alleged case of ongoing physical abuse of a former girlfriend, reported earlier in the day. The victim reportedly sustained bruising, but her injuries did not require medical treatment. Jackson faces misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct in Green County Circuit Court as a result of the arrest. He was released Wednesday on a $1,500 signature bond, on the condition that he have no contact with the victim or her residence.
- A resident in the 600 block of 18th Avenue was advised to mow grass after police responded at 12:53 p.m. Monday, April 23, to a complaint of an unmowed yard on the block.

DARLINGTON - Amy Beth Timmins, 26, Ankeny, Iowa, was cited for failure to have control after deputies responded at 7:24 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, to a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont. Timmins was driving northbound when she reportedly fell asleep. The vehicle veered into the median and hit a crossover road, causing the vehicle to fly airborne several hundred feet before coming to a rest on the shoulder of the road. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.
- Hans W. Lehner, 23, Browntown, was cited for speeding at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, on County B in the Town of Wayne.
- Joshua D. Wallin, 32, Orangeville, Ill., was cited for speeding at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, on County B in the Town of Wayne.
