BRODHEAD - For the week of April 3 to April 9, there were 32 citizen assists, 22 registrations, 18 security checks, 13 EMS calls, nine assists of other agencies, six 911 calls, five traffic stops and two fire calls.
On April 3, a 42-year-old Brodhead woman was arrested at 2:44 a.m. for driving while intoxicated (first offense) and driving with a prohibited alcohol content, and was also cited for unsafe lane deviation and driving at an unreasonable speed.
On April 4, disorderly conduct was reported at 11:29 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. Police issued a warning.
On Wednesday:
• A 21-year-old Galena, Ill., man was cited at 1:56 a.m. for speeding in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue.
• A 29-year-old Dakota, Ill., man was cited at 4:33 a.m. for driving with a suspended license in the 700 block of 23rd Street.
On Thursday, a 44-year-old Orfordville man was arrested at 5:15 p.m. on a Rock County Sheriff's warrant in the 1100 block of West 3rd Avenue.
On Friday, an IRS fraud was reported at 12:35 p.m. in the 300 block of 6th Street.
On Saturday:
• Several reports of vandalism were made between 12:20 p.m. and 1:18 p.m. in parks throughout Brodhead.
• A barking dog was reported at 6:14 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue. A warning was issued to the animal's owner.
• A noise complaint was made at 11:46 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue.

NEW GLARUS - On April 4:
• Police checked an individual's welfare at 11:12 a.m. in the 900 block of 1st Street. It was found that the person in question had moved away.
• Police investigated an illegally parked vehicle at 2:58 p.m. in the 500 block of Railroad Street.
• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 6:32 p.m. with a disabled vehicle on Wisconsin 69.
On April 5:
• Dale L. Musso, 54, Janesville, was cited at 12:54 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.
• Police checked an individual's welfare at 3:50 p.m. on 7th Street.
• Police investigated suspicious circumstances at 10:59 p.m. at the elementary school.

• Nicholas A. Elmer, 21, New Glarus, was cited at 11:58 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.
On Friday:
• A speeding vehicle was reported at 5:42 p.m. on Elmer Road.
• Suspicious people were reported at 9:54 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. Nobody was found when police investigated.
On Saturday:

MONROE - On Friday, Daniel J. Ubersox, 31, Monroe, was cited at 3:54 a.m. for speeding and driving with a suspended license in the W3500 block of Wis. 59, Town of Monroe.
On Saturday, Michael Lloyd Heidenreich, 29, Monticello, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. for battery, disorderly conduct, child abuse, criminal damage to property and strangulation after a domestic dispute was reported on Highpoint Road, Town of Washington. Heidenreich was jailed.
