MONROE - Green County Circuit Judge Thomas J. Vale set a plea and sentencing hearing at 9 a.m. March 8 for Braden T. Schettler, 18, New Glarus.

Schettler was charged May 10 with three counts of possession of child pornography by a person under 18, a class I felony. The criminal complaint alleges that Schettler possessed digital images of children engaged in sexual acts.

Schettler appeared for a plea hearing Tuesday, with his attorney, Ronald G. Benavides, who asked to reschedule the hearing, pending the distribution of a psychological evaluation report to concerned parties.

The court entered not guilty pleas on Schettler's behalf for each of the three counts at an arraignment Sept. 9, after he stood mute. He remains free on a $5,000 bond, with conditions including not possessing or using a computer or electronic devices for storing photos or videos, nor have printed images of children.
