FORT ATKINSON/NEW GLARUS - Phillip G. Baumgartner, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at the Fort Atkinson Hospital. He was born on Dec. 12, 1949 in Monroe, WI to his parents Herman and Rita (Ruetten) Baumgartner. Phillip graduated from New Glarus High School in 1968. He then farmed with his parents and brother Dean on the family farm until 1996 and later worked for Greenco Industries for fifteen years. Phillip was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville and attended services at St. Victor's in Monroe after moving there. Phillip loved to spend much of his time fishing and was an avid brewer and packer fan. He occupied himself with video games and photography. Phillip also enjoyed opportunities to travel the area.

Phillip is survived by his mother Rita B. Baumgartner of Monroe, WI and a brother Dean Baumgartner of Monroe, WI.

He was preceded in death by his father Herman, a brother John, and a sister-in-law Joan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville.
