Penny Kundert Scheffer

Penny Kundert Scheffer died Aug 29th 2015 in Sutherlin, OR. as a result of dementia and a stroke. She was born on Dec. 12, 1936 in Monroe, Wi. the daughter of Raymond E. and Annabel Penn Kundert.

She graduated from Juda High School in 1954 and the Green Co. Normal Teachers college in 1956 and then married Donald Meyer. Later she received her BA in education from U.W. Platteville. During her college years she read childrens stories on WEKZ.

She taught elementary education in Blanchardville and Madison schools and later graduated from U.W. Madison with a Masters degree in early childhood development and practiced as a primal process facilitator in both Madison and Olympia, WA. While in Madison she married Steven Lowe and later in Washington she was married to Brian Scheffer.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Kathy) and two grandsons in VA; stepmother, Bette Kundert, in Monroe; two sisters, Pat Jordan, Juda and Barbara Cheppaikode, Sutherlin, OR.; stepbrother, Harry (Butch) McGuire and stepsister, Linda Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Jerry Jordan.
