Pauline Potts, age 93 of Monroe, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, where she has resided since July, 2008.

Pauline was born September 9, 1918 in Twin Grove, WI, the daughter of Paul and Vernie (Scott) Raether.

She attended Prairie Valley and Twin Grove Rural Schools before graduating from Monroe High School in 1935. Pauline and Robert A. Potts were married February 6, 1938 in Monroe. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1996. Pauline worked at Ruf's Confectionery for 30 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and Monroe Senior Center. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pauline liked to play cards and enjoyed quilting, embroidering, bowling, and the summers spent in Green Lake. She is survived by two sons, Kenton (Marie) Potts of Madison, and Lenwood (Sharon) Potts of Monroe; a daughter, Rhonda (Phil) Stewart of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Kathleen (Kyle) Vandercar, Laura (Matt) Roethe, Robert (Lynn) Potts, Joel Potts, Janeen (Michael) Miller, Keith (Crystal) Stewart, Jenna Stewart; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Union Presbyterian Church, Monroe, with Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sandin-Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Pauline's name.
