NEW GLARUS - Olga Hoesly, age 91, of New Glarus passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the New Glarus Home. She was born on May 29, 1923 in Monroe the daughter of Louise and Otto Leiser. Olga graduated from Monroe High School in 1941. On May 16, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert Hoesly. Olga was a member of the Swiss United Church in New Glarus and had worked at the Bank of New Glarus along with being a homemaker and farm wife. Her days were filled with taking care of the family and the farm. She enjoyed cooking delicious family meals, and in her free time, she loved woodworking and refinishing antique furniture.

Olga is survived by her three children; Jim (Jody) Hoesly of New Glarus, WI, JoAnn (Gary) Aebly of Verona, WI, and Mary (Reiner) Klawiter of Aspen, CO, ten grandchildren Brian (Amy) Aebly, Melanie (Courtney) Corning, Timothy (Jessica) Aebly, Melissa (Brian Wedderspoon) Leib, Steffi and Katrina Klawiter, Michelle (David) Arnold, Carolyn (Troy) Watry, Jack Gibbs, and Milo Hoesly; six great-grandchildren Bryce and Payton Corning, Spencer and Samuel Aebly, Brooks Wedderspoon, and Morgan Watry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 2008, a daughter Barbara Hoesly Leib in 1982, and siblings Beverly Burri, Julia Goepfert, Mary Jegerlehner, Jack Mueller, Franz Miller, Emma Pfeil, and Doris Leiser.

A family funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the New Glarus Home Chapel, 600 Second Ave., New Glarus, WI (access via the Elm Dr. entrance) with the Rev. Bill Wineke officiating with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff of the New Glarus Home for their excellent care of mom the past few years. They would also like to thank the Monroe Clinic Hospice for their compassionate care.
