Norma J. Frydenlund, age 87, of Albany, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at the New Glarus Home with the comfort of her family. She was born on April 24, 1928 in Monroe, the daughter of John J. and Elizabeth (Rhyner) Disch. Norma and Kenneth Frydenlund were married on October 10, 1949 in Monticello, WI. Norma attended the Silver School and received her GED through Albany High School.

Norma worked at Oaktron in Monroe and Ogden Manufacturing in Albany. She was a lifetime resident of the Albany area.

She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church. She volunteered in Church, serving as Sunday School Teacher and the Albany food pantry. She also volunteered at the Friends of the Albertson Library in Albany and Albany Elementary School.

She is survived by her children: John (Sheri) Frydenlund and James (Lori Moses) Frydenlund; Catherine Inabnit and special cousin Jerry Miller all of Albany. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Craig (Galina Simonova) Inabnit, Jeff (Stacy) Inabnit, Melanie (Brandon) Inabnit-Bakken, Heidi (Matt Roth) Inabnit, Jill (Matt) Norman, Lucas (JoLynne) Frydenlund; great-grandchildren: Michael Schmidt, Trevor (Bridgett Ace) Inabnit, Kylie Inabnit, Brayden and Brodyn Bakken, Drexel and Madex Norman & Jackson, Joshua and Christopher Frydenlund.

She is predeceased by her Parents; Husband, sisters, Bernice Gill, Mildred Krueger, Gladys Gempeler, Pauline Duerst; and son-in-law, Melvin Inabnit.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Albany United Methodist Church with Pastor Brad Mather officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, October 16th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Albany United Methodist Church and Saturday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Albertson Memorial Library or Albany United Methodist Church. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, Monroe, is in charge of arrangements.
