DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run accident at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kayla L. Ruf, 21, Darlington, was eastbound on Wis. 81 when a vehicle driven by Terrance J. Fink, 46, Shullsburg, southbound on County O failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign. The Ruf vehicle struck the rear quarter panel of the Fink vehicle.
The force of the impact sent the Fink vehicle sliding sideways, striking a stop sign in the southeast corner of the intersection.
The Ruf vehicle traveled into the south ditch line where it struck a snow bank, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its roof.
Fink fled the scene and was later found at his residence. The Fink vehicle received moderate damage.
The Ruf vehicle received severe damage and was towed. Fink was cited for failure to report an accident, hit and run, failure to yield from a stop sign and no valid driver's license. The Wisconsin State Patrol cited Fink for operating while intoxicated.
Fink was released to a responsible party.
