BRODHEAD - Michael A. Dodge, age 65, of Brodhead, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Monroe Clinic Hospital, Monroe, WI. He was born on December 8, 1946 in Syracuse, NY, the son of William and Alice (Marshall) Dodge. He married Susan K. Johnson on March 21, 1987 in Brodhead.
Mike was a shoe technician and had worked for H.H. Brown Shoe Co. of Connecticut, traveling the United States and overseas. He attended the United Methodist Church of Brodhead. Michael enjoyed playing cards, telling stories, traveling, cooking, and being with family and his dog Holly.
He is survived by his wife Susan; children, Anson Dodge, Brodhead, WI, Lindsay (John Zimmerman) Dodge, Monroe, WI, Christine Spencer and Alicia (Curt Neuvine) Szakalli, both of Syracuse, NY, Michelle (Doug) Dryden, Wellington, FL, Michael (Jen) Dodge II, Mineral Point, WI; sisters, Janet D'Aoust, Phoenix, NY, Beverley Graziano, Central Square, NY, Dolores (Everett) Tuttle, Fredericksburg, VA; brothers, Duane (Marian) Dodge, Camillus, NY, Richard (Angel) Dodge, Whitter, CA, Charles (Michelle) Dodge, Wichita Falls, TX; in-laws, Arnold and Joan Johnson, Brodhead; and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William, and two sisters, Virginia and A. Jeanne.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, with Rev. Ellis "Hap" Itson officiating. Burial will be in the Durand Cemetery, Durand, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., Saturday, until time of services. A memorial fund will be established.
