NEW GLARUS - Matthew Doral Disch, age 24, of rural New Glarus passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012. He was born on October 8, 1987 to his parents Keith and Linda (Boley) Disch. Matt graduated from New Glarus High School in 2006. While in high school he was a three sport athlete and letter winner in football, basketball, and baseball, and also was a unified basketball team mentor. Matt also participated in FFA and band, he was recognized and received a student community asset award and a quality of life youth award. He also showed sheep at the county and state fair. Matt was also very active in and around the community, participating in the Wilhelm Tell Play, Polar Plunge, and as a mentor for Special Olympics. Matt was baptized and confirmed in the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus. He enjoyed canoeing, fishing, tubing, four-wheeling and dune buggying, turtle hunting with Shelby and Derek, bonfires, free movies, and golfing with grandma. Matt also liked tractor pulls, county fairs, and Badger Hockey games. He loved to farm and was always willing to help out dad and the neighbors. Matt worked in construction for Caliber Concrete and farmed. Matt loved to help his mom bake Christmas cookies, though usually they were eaten almost as fast as they were made until being put away.

Matthew is survived by his parents Keith and Linda Disch of Monticello, WI, sisters Nicole (Aaron Ruegsegger) Disch of Dayton, WI, Melissa (Josh Kosak) Disch of Belleville, WI, and Michelle Disch of Monticello, WI, grandmother Esther Disch of New Glarus, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Grant and Hazel Boley, grandfather Doral Disch, and uncles Dean Disch, Roger Boley, Donald Boley, and Bruce Boley.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Swiss United Church of Christ, 18 Fifth Ave, New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Craig Jan-McMahon officiating with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave, New Glarus, WI.
