Mary Lou Johnson age 77 of Monroe, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
Mary was born October 11, 1934 in Juda, the daughter of Raymond and Caroline (Schneider) Schroeder. She graduated from Juda High School in 1952 and married Wilbert E. Johnson on October 8, 1955 in Brodhead.
She was an active member of the Women of the Moose #599 and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by a son, Myles Johnson of Monroe; four grandchildren, Justin of Milton, Thomas of Janesville, Susan of New York, and David of Monroe; a sister, Marie (George) Stanke of Monroe; brother-in-law, George McIntyre; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert, in 2002; four children in infancy; and two sisters, Carol McIntyre in 2011 and Joyce Conway in 2010.
A a potluck dinner in memory of Mary will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at the Monroe Moose Lodge followed by a Women of the Moose Memorial Service.
Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, at a later date. Memorials may be sent in Mary's name in care of Justin Johnson, 525 Chicago St., Milton, WI 53563.
