Mary Helen Gibbons, age 96 of Monroe, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on December 30, 1917 in South Wayne, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Rahberger) Wehinger. Mary and William Gibbons were married in Monroe. Mary and her husband owned the Casino in Monticello for many years. She was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, enjoyed helping Fr. Campion with the Apostolate to the Handicapped, playing cards, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Roger (Kathy) Gibbons of Denver, CO, 2 daughters, Judy Hoesly of Monroe and Linda (Phil) Argue of Janesville; a sister, Rosie Craigo of Monroe; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Frank and Bob; sisters, Margaret Davis and Emma Wenger.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, with Fr. Larry Bakke presiding. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the church. A memorial fund will be established in Mary's name.
