ALBANY/JANESVILLE - Mary Ann Sucharski, age 86, of Janesville, formerly of Albany, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg, WI, after a brief illness. She was born on February 24, 1928 in Albany, WI, the daughter of John and Anna (Wierzba) Sucharski.

Mary Ann graduated from Albany High School, College of St. Theresa in Winona, MN and earned her master degree from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Franciscan order of nuns for nineteen years. During this time, she taught math and music in Ohio and Nebraska. After returning to Albany, she taught music in the Evansville Schools for 19 years. She served as the head librarian in the Albany Library. Mary Ann used her exceptional musical skills to play for the Albany Catholic Church and later for the Janesville's Cedar Crest Chapel where she lived. She was an accomplished weaver who loved being at her loom, and giving away her creations to family and friends.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Jane Sucharski, Rockledge, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Victor Sucharski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Albany, WI, with Father Michael Moon presiding. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. The D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, is assisting the family.
