Marvin "Ike" Ingwell

Marvin "Ike" Ingwell, age 84, of Monroe, died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1932 in Blanchardville, the son of Martin and Venora (Larson) Ingwell. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1950 and earned his B.S. education at Sacramento State College, Sacramento, CA.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 -1954. One of the proudest moments of Marvin's life was going on the Badger Honor Flight, September 13, 2014.

Marvin and Terri Martinez were united in marriage on February 13, 1982 in San Diego, CA.

Marvin was a teacher in Napa Valley High School in California and taught business at Napa Community College.

He was a member of the Monroe Lions Club, American Legion Post #84, California Teachers Association in Napa, and a member of the Napa Valley Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Ingwell of Monroe, children: Kris Ingwell of Boseman, MT; Terri Silverman, of Ft. Lauderdale Florida; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother, William "Bill" (Jill) Kilian, sisters, Marion Stafford and Norma Connor of Freeport, IL.

He is predeceased by his parents, brothers, Victor and Donald Ingwell and sister, Mavis Riese.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME with Monsignor Larry Bakke Celebrant. Burial will be at Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
