Marvin George Ault, 87, of Warrens, passed away at Tomah Memorial Hospital on February 10, 2009 after a brief illness.
He was born March 14, 1921 in Marshfield to Lorenzo and Mary Ellen (Donmeyer) Ault. He was united in marriage to Alice Krattiger on February 1, 1941 in Monroe, WI. His loving wife of 65 years preceded him in death December 18, 2006. He owned and operated Marv's Radiator Repair Shop in Fort Atkinson until retirement. Upon retiring he moved to Warrens, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the "simple life." He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Judi (Bill) Uhe of New Lisbon; two grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Swales and Shelly Kier, both of Janesville; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle and Dan Swales. He is further survived by four step-grandchildren, Wanda (Larry) Sokolowski, Roger (Jessica) Uhe, Renee (Jeff) Jensen and Sarah (John) Luebke, 10 step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Alice, he was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and an infant great-grandson.
A celebration to share memories of Marvin's life will be held from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the home of his daughter, Judi Uhe, W6163 Horkan Road in New Lisbon.
The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah, assisted the family with the arrangements.
