Marjorie A. Heffner, age 62, of Monroe, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at New Glarus Home. She was born October 20, 1946 in De Kalb, Illinois, the daughter of Wilford "Hank" and Lois (Elliott) Peterson and graduated from Sycamore, IL High School.

Marjorie married John L. Roundy on February 1, 1963 in De Kalb, IL and they farmed in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin for 14 years. Marjorie later married William H. Heffner on July 28, 1979 in Monroe, WI. Marjorie worked at the Swiss Colony Bakery in Monroe for 14 years, was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church, Stateline Women's Club, Balls Mill ACE Group, Green County Geology Group, and former 4-H Leader in the South Wayne, WI area.

Surviving are her children, Ann (Brian) Gohlke of Janesville, WI, John (Megan) Roundy, Jr. of Waunakee, WI, and Tami (David) Woerpel of New Glarus, WI; brothers, Jerry (Patti) Peterson of Elkhorn, WI and Bob (Juanita) Peterson of Sacramento, CA; sister, Janet Peterson of Sycamore, IL; and grandchildren, Brianne, Jared, and Sean Gohlke, Owen Roundy, Jen and Jon Benafield, and Skyler, Elizabeth, and Brandon Woerpel. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William Heffner; step-father, Leslie Miller, and nephew, Jim Binder.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at MONROE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Randy Booth officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2009 at Fairview Park Cemetery in De Kalb, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe.

A memorial fund is being established in Marjorie's memory.
