Marilyn L. Holm, age 62 of Brodhead, Wisconsin, formerly of Monroe, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her home. She was born September 13, 1947 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Roger L. and Ruth E. (Fritzenmeier) Elmer and graduated from Monroe High School in 1965 and UW Madison in 1969.
Marilyn married Richard Holm in Monroe, WI. Marilyn taught elementary education at Racine, WI and worked at the Monroe Clinic Hospital for many years in Medical Records and as an administrative secretary.
Surviving are her brother, Steve (Paula) Elmer and nephews, Steven T. and Jonathan R. Elmer, all of Monroe, WI. Marilyn had many close friends and loved animals of all kinds. She was predeceased by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe, WI with Rev. William T. Mike Heath officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI.
Memorials to Green County Humane Society in Marilyn's memory would be appreciated.
