Margaret F. Fosler, age 93, formerly of Warren, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Shullsburg Home in Shullsburg, WI. She was born on October 5, 1920 on the Peter Doubler farm in Nora TWP., the daughter of William and Faye (Conley) Walters. Margaret graduated from Warren High School in 1938 as the class valedictorian. She married Charles W. Fosler on October 4, 1938 at a Methodist parsonage in Waterloo, IA. Together with her husband they farmed in the Apple River area until 1961. Margaret then worked at the Lahey Nursing Home and Pash Pharmacy until her retirement. She spent many hours crocheting intricate doilies to give as gifts to family and friends and also loved to garden and bake breads and pies. The simplest things in life made her happy and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her 4 children; Charles Fosler of Warren, Thomas (Sally) Fosler of DeForest, WI, Anita (Jeff) Fry of Warren, and Roxanne (David) Leahy of Shullsbug, WI; 8 grandchildren - Charles A. (Patti) Fosler of Gratiot, WI, David (Kimberly) Fosler of Scales Mound, IL, John (Donna) Fosler of Oregon, WI, Karrie (Kip) Sabinson of Warren, Nicholas (Bobbie Kline) Fry of Evansville, WI, Alyson Leahy (Chad Henke) of Wausau, WI, Scott Leahy of Madison, Wi, and Ryan Leahy of Chicago, IL; 13 great-children; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles on January 31, 2002, parents, step-father Arthur Seffrood, sisters Genevieve Sigafus and Leila Walters, and a daughter-in-law Ardith Fosler.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral home in Warren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Elmwood Cemetery.

Officiating will be Pastor Barb Otten.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
