Margaret A. "Marnie" Marty, 65, of Brodhead, WI, died Friday, July 17, 2009 in her home.

She was born June 8, 1944 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Leland and Margaret Hoeft Huntley. Marnie was a graduate of Monticello High School. She was employed by King Pharmaceutical in Middleton, WI, working in quality assurance, retiring in February 2008.

Marnie was a lifetime member of the Monroe V.F.W. Post No.2312. She loved to care for animals especially cats and horses. Marnie took in stray animals and found homes for them. She enjoyed camping, fishing, ceramics, and gardening. Marnie loved to help others including, assisting people with their errands and always making sure that they were taken care of.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicki (Michael) Homan of Brodhead, WI, and her father, Walter Marty of Monroe, WI; parents, Leland and Margaret Huntley of Brodhead, WI; sisters, Mary Huntley of Tomahawk, WI, and Marsha (Lee) Weber of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; brother, Marty (Linda) Huntley of Milton, WI; step daughters, Jackie (Wayne) Dieter of Platteville, WI and Jeanette (Gene) Hasse of Monroe, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be noon Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in St. John's United Church of Christ, 1724 14th St., Monroe, WI with Rev. Gretchen Sylvester officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello, WI. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
