Man charged in fatal crash on Wis. 11 goes missing

MONROE - A bench warrant was issued Thursday, July 19, for a Brodhead man accused of causing an accident that killed 52-year-old Donald E. Ormond, Monroe.

Hipolito Roque Pascual, 44, failed to appear in court for an initial appearance earlier this week.

"We are trying to locate Mr. Pascual," Sheriff Jeff Skatrud said Friday morning. "Thus far we haven't had any luck. We don't know where he is right now. We will continue to try to locate him and take him into custody when we do."

Roque Pascual is charged with a Class I felony count of knowingly driving without a valid license, causing great bodily harm.

The charge stems from the investigation of a three-vehicle accident June 12 on Wisconsin 11 at County G. Ormond was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to deputy's reports from the scene, Roque Pascual was identified at the scene with a Mexican ID card.

He is also cited for driving without vehicle insurance and failure to yield when making a left turn.
