MONROE — Monroe Police Officers were alerted to a possible mental health crisis at 10:18 p.m. Nov. 7. Once arriving at a residence in the 2200 block of 1st Street of Monroe, officers received information marijuana was being grown on site.
Dylan S. Sims of Monroe, 28, was arrested for allegedly growing and preparing THC at his residence. A search warrant was issued at the residence at 12:41 a.m. Nov. 8. During the search, investigators located equipment and growing THC plants, along with additional other evidence, according to the press release from the Monroe Police Department.
Sims has been charged with manufacturing tetrahydrocannabinols (THC, marijuana), maintaining a drug trafficking place, two possessions of drug paraphernalia and child neglect. Sims was confined in the Green County Jail before being released on a $5,000 bond with the terms he may not possess or consume any controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician presently treating the defendant, nor possess any drug paraphernalia.
