BRODHEAD - A man is accused of biting a Green County deputy after officers arrested him in downtown Brodhead early Monday morning, Sept. 17.
Andrew S. Kjelland, 25, Milwaukee, faces a felony charge in Green County Circuit Court of battery to an officer, plus misdemeanor counts disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer.
According to officials:
Brodhead police arrested Kjelland for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer after responding to an argument in the downtown Square.
Police were driving Kjelland to the county jail in Monroe when they pulled over on Wisconsin 11 east of County OK because he was trying to kick out the windows in the back of the squad.
In the course of the incident, Kjelland took his teeth to a deputy's hand.
Kjelland made his initial appearance Tuesday in court. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Oct. 10.
