HOLLANDALE - Lucille "Pat" Patricia Olson, age 88 of Hollandale died surrounded by her family late Monday evening, January 26, 2015 at the Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville, and now joins her beloved late husband, DeLyle, in Heaven. Pat was born in Lewiston, Montana on February 8, 1926 to Alexander James and Mary Magdalen (O'Neil) McNeill. She graduated from Hollandale High School in 1944, and was married to DeLyle C. Olson on October 12, 1946. They farmed south of Blanchardville until 1968 when they took over her parents' farm west of Hollandale. Around 1984 they retired from the farm and moved into Hollandale. Mom was known to be a good cook, but her real passion was baking. Many the mornings while on the farm Dad would bring salesmen and bulk deliverymen in for coffee and doughnuts, cookies, or bars. Mom and Dad were generous in their support of friends and neighbors, be it labor, food, or a welcomed chair at the table. Mom's hobbies were salt and pepper shaker collecting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting. She was a member of the Yellowstone and Prairie School Homemakers, the Eastern Star, and the Hollandale Legion Auxiliary.

Pat is survived by four sons, Alexander (Margie) of Monroe, Gary (Marcia) of Platteville, Jerry (Sally) of Barneveld, and Dennis (Shelly) of Hollandale; a son-in-law Dan Wood; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step granddaughters, and three step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Myra (an infant in 1958) and Mary Wood in 2004; her mother-in-law Cindy Larson; her parents, Alex and Magdalen; her husband DeLyle who died on October 24, 1997; and an infant brother, James Alexander McNeill.

A visitation for Pat Olson will be held on Friday evening, January 30, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Hollandale Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Margo Martens will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at the Hollandale Cemetery.
