Lucile B. Bisegger, age 101, of Argyle, WI, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. She was born July 19, 1911 in Wiota Township in Lafayette County, WI, the daughter of Martin O. and Clara M. (Brenum) Monson. It is with sincere fondness that we celebrate the long, full life of Lucile (Monson) Bisegger. Lucille taught at Engebretson School, a one-room school in rural Wiota. On May 25, 1935, Lucile married Jacob Bisegger. They made cheese in several factories before settling down on their farm on Walnut Road in rural Wiota in 1954. Lucile was an active member of Argyle Lutheran Church and its Women of the ELCA, Wiota Happy Homemakers, and Lafayette County Historical Society. She co-authored the book "Wiota, William S. Hamilton's Diggings: The History of Wiota 1828-1993."

Lucile is survived by her children: Janet (Gary) Lewis of Tucson, AZ, Anita Penniston of Argyle, WI, Loren (Val) Bisegger of Florida, Ellen (Duane) Bright of Orange County, CA, and Susan (Ron) Nethery of Wiota; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one brother: Cecil Monson of Whidbey Island, WA; and one daughter-in-law: Carol (Walter) Botteron of Monroe, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jake on August 11, 2003; one son: James Bisegger in 1993; one daughter: Edie Hendrickson in 1995; one great-grandson: Samuel Kluckhohn in 2004; one brother: Paul Monson; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Monson and Alyce Monson; and one son-in-law: Bruce "Izzy" Penniston.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Argyle Lutheran Church, 100 East Street in Argyle with Reverend Rick Fry officiating. Burial will be in West Wiota Cemetery in Gratiot Township. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Erickson Funeral Home, 801 East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.
