Loren C. Johnson, age 54, of Monroe, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on May 13, 1959 in Monroe, son of Leo L. and Lois Johnson. Loren graduated from Monroe High School.

Loren married Melanie J. Campbell.

Loren worked at Advance Transformer and Joseph Huber Brewery.

He was a member of the Jordan Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council, former member of the Browntown Fire Department and Monroe Fire Department.

He was always there to lend a helping hand.

He liked to garden, attend car shows, photography, four wheeling and most of all just enjoying the outdoors.

He was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed playing cards especially euchre, bowling, woodworking, but most of all spending time with family, friends and his cat Skyler.

Loren served in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1978-1981.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Johnson, son, Matt (Jennifer) Johnson, daughter, Amanda (Cory) Gessler, step-daughters, Marcy Campbell and Kim Scheetz, brothers, William (Betty) Johnson, Roger Johnson, Jim (Melva) Johnson, Dennis (Helen) Johnson, Terry (Deb) Johnson, sisters, Karen (Bob) VonKaenel, Velma (Steve Schipler) Schrenk, Ruth (Gordy) Bergemann, Carol (John) Olson, step-grandchildren: Destiny, Deviaire and Malik White and Karena Marshall, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Memorial services will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Jordan Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.

A memorial fund is being established in Loren's memory.
