MONONA - Lois Marie (Shepherd) Headley, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on March 22, 1920, in Akron, Ohio. Lois was the daughter of John and Georgia (Pyle) Shepherd. On March 14, 1942, she married George Halsey Headley. She and George enjoyed a fulfilling retirement at their place (The Woods) outside of South Wayne, Wis. Her interests were her family, bluebirds, camping, and being a life-long Democrat. Lois is survived by her four children, Joyce Headley of Lowell, Mass., Chris (Jim) Yrigoyen of Dunedin, Fla., John (Justine) Headley of Chicago, Ill., Mary Sue (Maureen Ryan) Roberts of Madison, Wis.; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of Lois' life will occur on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. a GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison.
