Lafayette County Sheriff

On July 28:

● 7:55 a.m. Lezerke J. Jarmon, 25, Platteville was cited for Expired Registration and No Proof of Insurance on STH 81, Seymour Township.

●  7:55 a.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police with an alarm on Galena ST, City of Darlington. 

● 8:33 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH Z, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 10:24 a.m. Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS responded to CTH O, Shullsburg Township for a structure fire. Benton Fire, Shullsburg Police, Benton Police, and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene. 

● 2:07p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to S Galena ST in the City for a medical emergency. Shullsburg Police assisted on scene. 

● 9:42 p.m. A deputy responded to S Lafayette ST, Village of Argyle for a check welfare. 

On July 29:

● 8:17 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Catherine ST in the City for a medical emergency.


Monroe Police

On Aug 28:

● At 2:56 a.m., officers were called to a one vehicle versus tree accident, with reported injuries, in the 3000 block of 8th 1/2 Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jonathan Alanis, 21, Monroe, was traveling north on 31st Avenue, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Alanis was transported by Green County EMS with non-life threatening injures. The vehicle sustained severe damages and was towed. Alanis was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated -1st offense. Alanis was also cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed and unsafe lane deviation. Alanis was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance. 

On Aug. 29:

● At 12:44 a.m., officers arrested Carter J. Trolinger, 18, Brodhead, following a traffic offense stop in the 2400 block of 12th Street. Trolinger was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and was also cited for non-registration of a motor vehicle, prossession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alchol. Trolinger was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.


Monticello Police

On Aug 11:

● At approximately 10:59 a.m., Officers responded within the village for an emergency medical call. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

● At approximately 5:57 p.m., Officers had a wallet that was found along State Hwy 69 turned into them. The owner was contacted and the wallet was returned to its owner. 

On Aug 12:

● At approximately 7:40 p.m., Officers responded within the village for an emergency medical call. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded.

On Aug 27:

● At approximately 3:19 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Lake Avenue for a report of an injured wild animal.  Officers located the animal and found that the animal was okay.  No further action needed.

On Aug 29:

● At approximately 4:44 p.m., Officers received a suspicious activity report in the 500 block of S. Monroe Street. A resident reported that during the early morning hours 2 males were on video walking around the resident’s property.  The matter is being looked into. 

On Aug 30:

● At approximately 9:38 a.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Monroe Street for a 911 call.  Officers made contact with the caller who stated that 911 was accidentally dialed.  Everything appeared to be okay at the residence.
