Brodhead Police

On Aug 12:

● 11:46 p.m., a 20 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 900 block of W Exchange St. for Underage Possession / Consumption of Alcohol. 

On Aug 13:

● 1:59 p.m., Police responded to the 300 block of E 8th Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a cat at someone’s doorstep. The owner was contacted and the animal was returned to them. 

● 6:31 p.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of E 4th Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and the animal was returned to them. 

● 9:59 p.m., an 18 year old Madison woman was cited in the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave. for Speeding.

On Aug 14:

● 12:20 a.m., a 39 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. for Outside Consumption.

● 3:44 a.m., Police responded to the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. for a Code Violation; a subject in the park after hours. Contact was made and the subject left the area. 

● 8:55 a.m., Police responded to the 1300 block of W 6th Ave. for the report of a Domestic Problem; an intoxicated subject refusing to leave the residence. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

On Aug 15:

● 10:19 a.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 12th St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a groundhog on a porch. Police were able to urge the groundhog off the porch and away from the residence.

On Aug 16:

● 7:14 a.m., Police responded to the 700 block of 10th St for the report of a Theft; items taken from vehicle. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 8:10 a.m., Police responded to the 700 block of W 3rd Ave for the report of Trespassing; car rifled through – nothing taken. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 8:24 a.m., Police responded to the 600 block of W 3rd Ave for the report of a Theft; items taken from vehicle. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 2:09 pm, Police responded to the 300 block of 2nd St for the report of Fraud; fraudulent insurance policy opened. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 2:22 pm, Police responded to the 700 block of E 6th Ave for the report of a Theft; items stolen from vehicle. This matter remains under investigation.

● 9:16 a.m., Police responded to the 1200 block of 16th St for the report of a Code Violation; subject leaving trash by curb outside of trash pick up hours. Contact with homeowner was made and a verbal warning was issued.

● 9:17 a.m. Police responded to the 1500 block of W 5th Ave for the report of a Code Violation; subject leaving trash by curb outside of trash pick up hours. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 2:09 p.m., Police responded to the 300 block of 2nd St for the report of Fraud; fraudulent insurance policy opened. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 2:22 p.m., Police responded to the 700 block of E 6th Ave for the report of a Theft; items stolen from vehicle. This matter remains under investigation. 

On Aug 17:

● 3:48 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of E 2nd Ave for the report of an Animal Problem; subject nipped by a dog. This matter remains under investigation.

On Aug 18:

● 8:38 a.m. Police responded o the 100 block of Juniper Ave for the report of a Theft; items taken from vehicle. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 5:25 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of E 6th Ave for the report of a Code Violation; neighbor burning brush. Prior to officer arrival on scene, fire was put out and complainant advised they no longer wanted anything further done with the case. 

● 6:03 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. for a Parking Violation; a vehicle left in a business parking lot. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued. 

● 7:29 p.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of verbal Disorderly Conduct. This matter remains under investigation. 

On Aug 19:

● 7:49 p.m., a 41 year old Freeport, IL man was cited in the 400 block of 1st St for Speeding. 

● 9:01 p.m., a 25 year old Janesville man was cited in the 400 block of 1st St for Speeding. 

On Aug 20:

● 10:14 a.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of W 7th Ave. for a Traffic Hazard; a large limb hanging over the roadway. Police remained on scene until Brodhead Water & Light responded.

On Aug 21:

● 9:04 p.m., a 32 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 400 block of E 6th Ave. for Domestic Disorderly Conduct, Disorderly Conduct, and Bail Jumping. 

On Aug 22:

● 3:31 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave (East alley) for the report of a Traffic Crash; a vehicle scuffed a parked vehicle. It was determined to be a non-reportable crash; no citations were issued.

On Aug 23:

● 3:43 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of 10th St. for the report of Trespassing; an unknown subject on the property. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges; informational report only. 

● 8:22 p.m., a 37 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1100 block of 16th St. for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License. 

On Aug 24:

● 8:21 p.m., a 37 year old Brodhead woman was cited in the 400 block of 1st St for Operating After Suspension.

● 9:49 p.m., a 19 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 600 block of 23rd St for Bail Jumping. Additionally, the male subject was cited for Transporting Individuals In The Cargo Area of a Vehicle and No Tail Lights At Night.

On Aug 25:

● 12:25 p.m., a male subject was cited in the 1400 block of 1st Center Ave for Inattentive Driving following a traffic crash. 

● 8:42 p.m., while on patrol, Police observed Suspicious Activity in the 2500 block of W 5th Ave; vehicle in lot after hours. Officers investigated and found no additional Suspicious Activity. 

On Aug 29:

● 10:44 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of E 3rd Ave. for the report of Vandalism; ketchup sprayed on a vehicle. The area was checked but no other damage was located. 

● 5:18 p.m., Police responded to the 1200 block of 16th St. for the report of a Code Violation; subject failed to bring garbage/recycling carts back from the terrace. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

● 8:03 p.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of E 5th Ave. for the report of a Parking Violation; a semi off the heavy truck route. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

On Sept. 5:

● 1:35 p.m., Police responded to the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of Vandalism; unknown subjects had tried to start fire in park. Officers responded and verified there was no active fire, however, there was evidence of an attempt to start one.

● 7:40 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 10th St for the report of Theft; solar powered lawn ornament was stolen. This matter remains under investigation. 

On Sept. 6:

● 6:35 a.m., a 32 year old Shullsburg man was cited in the 200 block of 1st St for no motor vehicle insurance.

 ● 6:44 a.m., a 27 year old Brodhead woman was cited in the 200 block of 1st St for Speeding. 

● 7:02 a.m., a 22 year old South Wayne man was cited in the 200 block of 1st St for Speeding. 

● 8:00 a.m., a 23 year old Freeport woman was cited in the 300 block of 23rd St for Speeding. 

● 2:10 p.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved. 

● 2:32 p.m., Police responded to multiple locations for an anonymous complaint regarding Code Violations within the City. 

● 5:43 p.m., a juvenile was arrested in the 100 block of 10th St. for Underage Possession of Tobacco and Resisting Obstructing an Officer. 

● 6:01 p.m., Police responded to the N100 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of an Animal Problem; subjects letting their dogs run around the park. Subjects left park prior to officer’s arrival. 

● 8:39 p.m., while on patrol, Police observed Suspicious Activity in the 900 block of E 9th Ave; vehicle in lot afterhours. Contact with key holder was made and Officers were advised the individual had permission to be there.

On Sept 7:

● 8:02 a.m., Police responded to the 1600 block of 20th St. for Suspicious Activity; a trunk lid left open. The trunkwas secured and the owner was notified. No other suspicious activity was located. 

● 12:33 p.m., Police responded to the 300 block of 23rd St. for a Non-reportable Traffic Crash. No citations were issued. 

● 4:10 p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 12th St. for the report of Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

● 5:46 p.m., a 29 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 1700 block of E 9th Ave. for Operating after Revocation.

● 9:14 p.m., a 53 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 200 block of E 9th Ave. for Non-registration of Auto and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Required. 

● 9:39 p.m., a 24 year old Janesville woman was cited in the 500 block of 1st St. for Speeding.

On Sept 8:

● 12:18 a.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of W 2nd Ave. for a Parking Violation; a vehicle parked over a sidewalk. A warning notice was issued. 

● 2:06 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of E 7th Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog bite. This matter was turned over to the Green Co. Health Department. 

● 8:14 p.m., a 21 year old Brodhead man was arrested on a warrant to appear issued by the Brodhead Municipal Court. 

On Sept. 9:

● 9:15 p.m., Police responded to the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subjects involved in an altercation. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges at this time; informational case only. 

On Sept. 10:

● 8:43 a.m., a 27 year old Janesville woman was cited in the 2300 block of 1st Center Ave. for Speeding. 

● 12:43 p.m., Police responded to the 2100 block of 1st Center Ave. for a Traffic Crash. Both drivers were issued warnings.

On Sept 11:

● 6:50 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. Dana K Thompson, 33, Argyle was traveling eastbound on CTH F in her 2008 Chevrolet when she crossed the centerline, entered the ditch and struck a mailbox. Thompson continued for several miles before coming to rest in the ditch. Thompson was not injured and her vehicle was towed from the scene with severe damage. Thompson was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control, Operating Left of Center, and Failure to Notify Police of an Accident. 

● 11:48 a.m. A deputy responded to Wood RD, Darlington Township for check welfare.

● 5:17 p.m. A deputy responded to Gun Club RD, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway.

On Sept. 18

● 9:52 a.m., a 48 year old Evansville woman was cited in the 700 block of E 9th Ave. for Speed. 

● 10:06 a.m., a 21 year old Monticello man was cited in the 600 block of 1st St. for Non-registration of Auto and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Required. 

On Sept. 19

● 7:54 a.m., a Parking Citation was issued in the 1200 block of 21st St for a Vehicle Parked Facing Traffic.

●  8:17 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 12th St for the report of Vandalism, vehicle had tires slashed. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 10:10 a.m., a 36 year old Juda woman was cited in the 1600 block for Issuance of Worthless Checks following a worthless check complaint.

● 10:21 a.m., a 62 year old Evansville man was arrested in the 800 block of 16th St on a valid warrant through Green County Sheriff’s Office. 

● 4:58 p.m., a 26 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 300 block of 14th St on a Probation Violation Hold following a verbal domestic abuse complain.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On Aug 30:

● 4:23 a.m. Timothy R Hanson, 53, Blanchardville reported striking a deer on CTH N, Argyle Township.  Hanson’s 2015 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:22 a.m. A deputy responded to King Rd, Willow Springs Township for a check welfare. 

● 8:28 a.m. A deputy responded to King Rd, Town of Willow Springs for a criminal damage to property complaint. 

● 9:49 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 10:06 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Ohio St, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. 

● 3:44 p.m. A deputy responded to W Water St, City of Shullsburg for a check welfare. 

● 5:06 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a two vehicle accident.  Josh T Donar, 24, Benton was stopped at a stop sign driving a 2008 GMC truck owned by Owen’s Excavating and Trenching, when a 1996 Toyota, driven by Alisa A Hansen, 29, South Wayne turned left striking Donar’s vehicle.  Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene.  No injuries were reported.  Hansen was cited for Improper Left Turn. 

● 6:30 p.m. Godly Alcindor, 28, West Palm Beach FL was cited for Speeding on STH 11, Gratiot Township.

● 6:37 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Town of Shullsburg for a complaint of harassment. 

● 6:57 p.m. A deputy responded to E Liberty St, Village of Belmont for a restraining order violation.

● 8:37 p.m. A deputy responded to CTY Y, Town of Wiota for a check welfare. 

● 11:47 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a traffic complaint of an erratic driver.

On Aug 31:

● 4:08 a.m. Adam A Henry, 27, Dickeyville was cited for Speeding on STH 81, Elk Grove Township.

● 6:36 a.m. Marty E Rood, 46, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on Pleasant View RD, Seymour Township. No injuries were reported and Rood’s 2012 Chrysler received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:16 a.m. A deputy assisted Darlington Police on Center DR with a 911 misdial.

● 10:01 a.m. A deputy responded to S Warren ST in the Village of South Wayne for a 911 misdial.

● 12:10 p.m. A deputy responded to E River ST in the City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a citizen assist.

● 12:31 p.m. A deputy responded to Colfax ST in the Village of Argyle for citizen assist.

● 1:55 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH I, New Diggings Township for trespassing. Susan A Redfearn, 52, Platteville was arrested for Trespassing. Redfearn was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and later released.

● 3:57 p.m. Benjamin R Cooper, 22, South Wayne was arrested for a warrant out of Iowa. Cooper was transported to the Lafayette County Jail and remains in custody.

● 4:07 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH Y, Wiota Township for a civil dispute.

● 9:20 p.m. Blanchardville Fire and EMS responded to STH 78, Blanchard Township for an unoccupied house fire. No injuries were reported. Deputies and Blanchardville Police assisted on scene.

● 9:38 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for livestock on the roadway.

On Sept.1:

● 12:26 a.m. A deputy responded to S McKnight ST in the Village of South Wayne for keep the peace.

● 5:01 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Benton Township for a traffic hazard.

● 5:14 a.m A deputy responded to Leahy Rd, Shullsburg Township for a 911 misdial.

● 7:56 a.m.  A deputy responded to E Center ST in the Village of South Wayne for check welfare.

● 8:01 a.m. A deputy responded to N Lincoln ST in the City of Cuba City for a traffic complaint.

● 8:40 a.m. A deputy responded to Cottage Inn RD, Belmont Township for livestock on the roadway.

● 8:55 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Minerva ST in the City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.

● 9:08 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 78 in the Village of Argyle for check warrants through Lafayette County. Lange was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
