Green County Sheriff

On Sept. 24:

● At approximately 7:46 p.m. deputies responded to the W1700 block of CTH EE in the Town of Albany for a reported domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Owen D. Boss, Albany, 22, was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment and intimidation of a victim. Boss was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

● At approximately 9:17 p.m. deputies responded to the N3600 block of STH 81 in the Town of Monroe for a reported domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Shane M. Segner, Monroe, 43, was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, resisting arrested, and a Department of Corrections probation hold. Segner was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

On Sept. 26:

● At approximately 3:01 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Farmers Grove Rd and Freitag Ln in the Town of New Glarus for report of a male passenger acting irate in a motor vehicle while it was in motion. As a result of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, Desyra D. Ott, 32 of Monticello was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants 1st offense. She was released pending court. The male passenger, Nate L. Anderson, 38, of Monticello, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Anderson was taken to the Green County Jail where he was released upon posting bond.

● At approximately 11:26 a.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Steiner Rd and Franklin Rd in the Town of Clarno for a report of a two vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a truck driven by Randy L. Goebel, 62, of Browntown, was stopped at the south end of the intersection on Steiner Rd. Goebel looked both ways and did not see any vehicles. As Goebel entered the intersection, a motorcycle operated by Jeffrey J. Christen, 64, of Belleville, collided with Goebel’s truck. Christen was ejected. Christen was not wearing a helmet. Christen sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by a helicopter to a Madison hospital. Goebel was wearing a seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment in his vehicle. Goebel reported he was not injured. Goebel’s vehicle sustained minor damage. Christen’s motorcycle sustained severe damage. The Monroe Rural Fire Department, the Green County Area EMS and Med-flight assisted at the scene.

● At approximately 5:55 p.m. deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 and CTH S in the Town of Jefferson for a one vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was learned a vehicle operated by Jonathan G. Sayago, 25 of Elgin, IL was traveling east on STH 11 when his GPS told him to turn right onto  CTH S. As he was turning right the GPS told him to turn left. Sayago tried to turn left, but the vehicle ran over the traffic island on CTH S striking a traffic sign and post. The vehicle continued into the east ditch where it came to a halt. Sayago was the only one in the vehicle and was not injured. He was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Sayago was cited for operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver’s license. He was released pending court.

On Oct. 2:

● At approximately 10:32 a.m., deputies responded to the W7900 Block of Smock Valley Rd., Town of Jordan, for a one vehicle accident, with no injuries. Upon investigation Deputies learned Ronald H. Blaser,79, of Darlington was eastbound on Smock Valley Rd., when he chocked on a piece of food, passed out, and drove into the ditch. The vehicle rolled onto its side and Ronald crawled out of the vehicle after he woke up. Ronald reported no injuries. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and there was airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. 

● At approximately 8:43 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic taking place in vehicles traveling eastbound on STH 11, from CTH GG in the Town of Spring Grove. Deputies were advised the suspect was chasing the victim on a motorcycle. Deputies located the motorcycle and stopped it in the N4100 block of STH 69, in the Town of Monroe. The investigation resulted in Brayden J. Collins, 27, of Dodgeville being arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants 4th offense, disorderly conduct, two counts of battery, strangulation/suffocation,intimidation of a victim, criminal damage to property, and false imprisonment. Collins was additionally charged with two counts of resisting arrests, three counts of threats to law enforcement, and attempted battery to law enforcement. Collins was also cited for speeding. Brayden was transported to the Green County Jail, pending a court appearance.

On Oct. 4:

● At approximately 4:13 a.m.  deputies responded to the N4400 block of STH 104 in the Town of Decatur for a two vehicle crash.  During the investigation it was learned a vehicle driven by Connie M. Burhans, 64, Evansville, was traveling S/B on STH 104 and a farm tractor pulling a piece of farm implement operated by Titus W. Near, Brodhead, 35, was traveling N/B on STH 104. The Burhans’ vehicle collided with the farm implement. Burhans sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Monroe. She was wearing a seatbelt and the airbag deployed. Near was not wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Burhans’ vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Near was able to remove the farm implement from the scene. The Brodhead EMS and Fire Department assisted at the scene.

● At approximately 2:24 p.m., Deputies responded to the N5100 block of CTH J, Town of Washington, for a report of a single vehicle rollover accident with no injuries. Contact was made with Nicholas C Hunt, 19, of Elroy, who reported being northbound on CTH J when he neared the gravel shoulder. Hunt advised he overcorrected, entered the East ditch, and his vehicle and trailer turned onto its side. Hunt reported no injury, no airbag deployment, and reported wearing his seatbelt. Hunt’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. Hunt was cited for failure to secure load and released with a court date.


Darlington Police

On Nov. 13:

● 12:52 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH W, White Oak Springs Township for a two vehicle accident.  Elizabeth S Rood, 43, Benton was traveling on CTH W, why Rood was slowing to stop at the intersection she was rear ended by the vehicle driven by Adam J Kaiser, 33, Shullsburg.  Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.  Rood was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Rood’s 2017 Jeep and Kaiser’s 2018 Jeep received severe damage and were towed from the scene.  As a result, Kaiser was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated (2nd) and cited for Failure to Maintain Control.  Kaiser was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released to a responsible party.  

● 2:36 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a check welfare.  As a result, Anthony D McWilliams, 19, Platteville was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Bail Jumping, Possession of THC, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Scheduled I & II Narcotics.  McWilliams was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

● 3:59 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a one vehicle rollover.  Angela K Miesen, 53, Darlington was traveling on CTH F when she fell asleep, causing her vehicle to exit the roadway, enter the ditch, rolling over several times.  Miesen’s 2004 Chevrolet received severe damaged and was towed from the scene.  Miesen was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. 

● 7:00 a.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a traffic complaint.

● 11:25 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH Z, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 11:47 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 81, Town of Elk Grove for a two vehicle accident. Lindsay R Woodworth, 39, Gratiot was traveling westbound on STH 81 when the vehicle behind her driven by Erick A Pina, 20, Clinton rear ended her.  Woodworth’s 2018 Ford and Pina’s 2015 Honda both received minor damage and were towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported.

● 3:04 p.m. Darlington Fire Department responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a power pole fire.  A deputy responded on scene. 

● 4:48 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Town of Elk Grove for livestock on the roadway.
