● 6:30 a.m. Teri A Bredeson, 37, Monroe was transported from the Dane County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail on two Lafayette County warrants. Bredeson remains in custody. 

● 6:35 a.m. Deputies responded to S Van Buren St, Village of Benton for a disorderly conduct.  

● 8:59 a.m. A deputy responded to W South St, Village of South Wayne for a traffic complaint. 

● 9:04 a.m. A deputy responded to Kingsley Rd, Town of Gratiot for a trespassing complaint. 

● 12:11 p.m. A deputy responded to N Fairview Av, Village of Argyle for a complaint of harassment. 

● 1:29 p.m. A deputy responded to Bridge St, Village of Gratiot for a traffic complaint. 

● 3:35 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a two vehicle accident.  Haydyn J Hull, 17, Browntown was traveling on STH 11 driving a 2001 Dodge when he pulled out in front of a 2017 Nissan driven by, Ryan T Fitzgerald, 43, Salem.  No injuries were reported and both vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene. South Wayne Fire Department assisted on scene. 

● 6:15 p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to E Water St, City of Shullsburg for a lift assist. 

● 7:26 p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to Apple Rd, Town of Shullsburg for a medical emergency. Air Care assisted on scene. 

● 7:39 p.m. Joseph R Quinn, 24, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 23, Town of Darlington.  Quinn’s 2019 Ram received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 8:09 p.m. A deputy responded to Galena St, Village of Benton for an animal complaint. 

● 8:59 p.m. Belmont Fire Department responded to Walnut St, Village of Belmont for a transformer fire.  Alliant Energy assisted on scene. 

● 9:11 p.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg for a medical emergency.

● 6:33 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Town of Argyle for a one vehicle accident.  Patricia E Teasdale, 68, Monroe was traveling on STH 81 when she struck a construction barricade with her 2013 Dodge.  Teasdale’s 2013 Dodge received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. 

● 6:49 p.m. Zeyu Yang, 21, Ames, Iowa was cited for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed on USH 151, Belmont Township. 

● 7:16 p.m. Nicholas R Camp, 34, Madison reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. Camp’s 2014 Jeep received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 7:21 p.m. A deputy responded to E Main St, Village of Benton for a hit and run. 

● 7:28 p.m. Jill L Russell, 71, Mineral Point reported striking a deer on Burr Oak Rd, Kendall Township.  Russell’s 2015 Dodge received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 7:46 p.m. Tanner W Evenstad, 22, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH C, Town of Willow Springs. Evenstad’s 2013 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 8:54 p.m. Brian J Holzer, 36, Belmont was arrested on a valid Probation and Parole violation. Holzer was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remained in custody. 

● 10:39 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a one vehicle accident.  Deante C Seals, 17, Mineral Point was traveling northbound on STH 23 when he lost control causing the vehicle to exit the roadway into private property and striking a parked car. Seals’ 1997 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene. Seals was cited for Failure to have Control. No injuries were reported. 

● 11:31 p.m. A deputy responded to Ohio St, City of Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a suspicious activity complaint. 

On Oct. 1:

● 12:20 a.m. David D Richardson, 39, Riverdale CA was cited for Operating without a License on Gun Club Rd, Darlington Township. 

● 12:52 a.m. A deputy responded to Blake St, Village of Blanchardville for a 911 misdial. 

● 5:09 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a one vehicle accident. Holly M Benson, 32, South Wayne was traveling on STH 11 driving a 2006 Chevrolet. While driving, Benson fell asleep, went through a stop sign, causing her to exit the roadway and enter a culvert.  Benson’s 2006 Chevrolet received severe damage and was towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported. 

● 7:23 a.m. A deputy responded to Stuart Rd, Town of Wiota for a check welfare. 

● 7:41 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH K, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 8:45 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH E, Darlington Township for a two vehicle accident.  Theresa M O’Brien, 61, Darlington was traveling on CTH E when she crossed over the center line striking the oncoming vehicle driven by Levi M Carter, 17, Mineral Point.  Darlington Fire Department, Lafayette County EMS and Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.  No injuries were reported.  O’Brien’s 2016 Chevrolet and Carter’s 2004 Ford received moderate damage and were towed from the scene.  O’Brien was cited for Texting while Driving. 

● 9:27 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Argyle Township for a traffic hazard.

● 5:14 p.m. Jose I Lopez-Lopez, 31, Belmont was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a license and a valid warrant.  Lopez-Lopez was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released on a cash bond. 

● 7:24 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH XX, Town of Belmont for a disorderly conduct.  As a result, Aubrey R Weber, 18, Belmont was cited for disorderly conduct.

● 9:28 p.m. A deputy responded to Bennett Rd, Town of New Diggings for a 911 misdial. Hazel Green Police Department assisted on scene. 

● 9:33 p.m. Cade R Kirkpatrick, 32, Belmont was arrested for Operating after Revocation and Tampering with Ignition Interlock on CTH XX, Town of Belmont.  Kirkpatrick was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released.  

On Oct.2

● 2:58 a.m. Justin R Myers, 45, South Wayne was arrested on two valid warrants on STH 81, City of Darlington. Myers was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

● 7:42 p.m. A deputy responded to E Water ST in the City of Shullsburg for a two vehicle accident. Alan L Hauser, 53, Shullsburg was traveling eastbound on Water ST in his 2021 Jeep when he attempted to turn onto Judgement ST and did not see Stephen M Spillane, 29, Benton stopped at the stop sign in his 2011 Dodge. Hauser struck Spillane, causing moderate damage to both vehicles. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

● 8:42 p.m. South Wayne First and Green County EMS responded to E High ST in the Village for a medical emergency.

● 9:21 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH Z, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway.

● 9:02 p.m. Kathleen B Batanes, 50, Chicago IL was cited for Speeding on STH 81, Town of Elk Grove.

● 6:43 p.m. Damian L Burrington, 19, Ridott, IL was cited for Speeding on STH 23, Darlington Township.

● 7:31 p.m. Adam G Crist, 38, Mineral Point was cited for Speeding on STH 23, Willow Springs Township.

● 8:27 p.m. A deputy responded to W High ST in the Village of South Wayne for an animal problem.

● 9:47 p.m. Isaac C Berg, 21, Janesville was cited for Failure to stop at a Stop Sign on W Mound RD, Belmont Township.

On Oct. 8:

● 2:07 a.m. Gratiot Fire and First Response and Green County EMS responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a one vehicle rollover. Kimberly Y Garcia-Andrade, 20, Gratiot was traveling eastbound on STH 11 in her 2011 Chevrolet when she swerved to miss a raccoon and went off the road. Garcia-Andrade than swerved back onto the road, overcorrected and went into the ditch where she rolled, coming to rest on its passenger side. Garcia-Andrade reported no injuries and her vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Garcia-Andrade was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control.


Circuit Court

On Sept. 4:

● At approximately 12:05 a.m., Deputies, New Glarus EMS, and the New Glarus Fire Department responded to the W7700 block of County Highway H, Town of York, for a report of a one vehicle, rollover crash. Investigation determined the operator, Mackenzie A. Scott, 21 of Woodford, was traveling west on CTH H, when she stated she looked at her phone. While doing this, her vehicle entered the north ditch and struck a culvert. This caused her vehicle to go airborne and strike a utility pole. Mackenzie’s vehicle came to a rest in the north ditch after sustaining disabling damage with no airbag deployment. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. Mackenzie reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Mackenzie was transported for medical services by a private vehicle. Mackenzie was subsequently issued citations for Inattentive Driving and Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle. Mackenzie was issued a future court date. Alliant Energy also responded to the scene to repair the damaged utility pole. 

● At approximately 7:50 a.m., Deputies responded to the N6700 block of County Highway X., Town of Albany, for a report of a motor vehicle crash with nobody in or around the involved vehicle.  Investigation determined the operator, Israel Lopez-Luis, 40 of Brooklyn, was traveling north on CTH X when he failed to negotiate the curve. Lopez Luis vehicle continued through the median where it struck a mailbox and traveled down an embankment before coming to rest against a tree. Lopez Luis advised he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt.  There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. Lopez Luis was issued citations for Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Notify LE of Accident and No Valid Driver’s License (1st Offense).  He was released with non-mandatory court date.

● At approximately 2:27 a.m., Deputies responded to the W8200 block of State Highway 11, Town of Cadiz, to apprehend an individual for an active child support warrant. Contact was made with the subject, Douglas Scace, 51, who was placed into custody on the active warrant. Douglas was transported to the Green County Jail where he was incarcerated pending an initial court appearance.

On Sept. 6:

● At approximately 5:46 p.m. a pick up truck driven by Ronald K. Wilt, 69, Walnut, IL was traveling south in the N6900 block of STH 69 in the Town of Washington, when two motorcycles passed him. One motorcycle went around the left side of the truck and the other passed on the right side of the truck. The motorcycle that passed on the right side ended up striking the truck’s mirror. The motorcycle started to wobble, but the operator was able to regain control and continued south without stopping. Wilt, and his passenger, were not injured and were wearing seatbelts. There was no airbag deployment. The truck sustained minor damage to the right mirror and was driven from the scene. The suspect motorcycle was not located.

● At approximately 9:54 p.m. deputies responded to the N1500 block of STH 69 in the Town of Clarno for a vehicle versus cow crash. During the investigation it  was learned a vehicle driven Preston E. Kroll, Freeport, IL 35, was traveling south when he observed several head of cattle standing on the road. He tried to  brake and swerve around them, but collided with one. Kroll was the only occupant and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. Kroll was not injured. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. The owner of the cattle were notified and retrieved the cattle. At this time it is unknown about the condition of the cow that was struck.

On Sept. 8:

● Deputies at 2;45pm  arrested Timothy J Decker, Paoli, WI, on an warrant.

● At approximately 9:57 p.m., Deputies, the Albany Fire Department and Albany EMS, responded to the W1700 blk of CTH EE, Town of Albany, for a rollover crash with entrapment. Investigation determined the operator, Amanda J. Witte, 45 of Evansville, was traveling east on CTH EE when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.  Amanda’s truck exited the roadway into the east ditch and rolled once, coming to a rest on the driver’s side door.  Amanda was able to exit the truck through the rear windshield with assistance from the Albany Fire Department. Amanda reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injuries that were evaluated by Albany EMS.  Amanda was not transported for her injuries. The truck sustained disabling damage, had side airbag deployment and was towed from the scene by Arn’s Towing. Amanda was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense.  Amanda was also cited for Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Maintain Control and Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Amanda was released to a responsible party pending a future court appearance. 

 ● Deputies at 2:10 Am, at the location of 16th st and 7th ave in the city of Monroe, arrested Joseph T Plewa, Chicago, Il, for OWI first, Improper Turn and Open Intoxicants in a vehicle. He was released to responsible party.

On Sept. 10:

● At approximately 10:56 a.m., deputies responded to a minor two vehicle crash with no injuries at N8810 Liberty Pole Hill Park Road, in the Town of Brooklyn. A vehicle operated by Brady C Jones, of Oregon was backing up when he struck an unoccupiedparked bus owned by Riteway Bus Service Inc. Brady and his passenger were not injured, they were wearing seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The bus sustained very minor damage. The vehicle operated by Brady sustained minor damage. Both vehicles were drivable.

On Sept. 11:

● At approximately 9:54 p.m. Deputies responded to the W900 block of Bump Rd., in the Town of Albany, for a report of a car in a corn field.  Deputies later made contact with the driver, Desiree J. Copeland, 23, of Albany, who advised she was traveling westbound when she swerved to avoid a deer in the  roadway.  Desiree said she then lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch, where she struck a fence. The vehicle came to a rest against a utility pole.  Desiree and her passenger were uninjured in the crash. The occupants were wearing safety restraints. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Desiree was cited for failure to maintain control and released pending court.

On Sept. 14:

● At 11:33 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the W8200 block of County Highway B, in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies made contact with Brandy M. Williams, 40 of Browntown. It was found that Williams had a warrant for Child Support through Richland County. Williams was taken into custody on the warrant.

● At 2:20 p.m., Deputies responded to Probation and Parole Office located at 2841 6th street, in the City of Monroe. Deputies were requested to take custody of Matthew D. Gilbertson 39, of Monroe. Gilbertson was placed under arrest for a probation violation.

● At 6:40 p.m., Deputies, Brodhead Police Department, Brodhead EMS and Brodhead Fire Department, and Green County EMS responded to the intersection of STH 81 & CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a semi-truck vs. car crash with injuries. The investigation found that the driver of the car, Anthony J. Marmion, 27, of Forreston, was stopped at the southbound stop sign on CTH T and failed to yield to the semi-truck, driven by Enrique A. Jaramillo, 24, of Elgin.  The car was then struck by the semi-truck and came to a rest in the southeast ditch of the intersection. The airbags in his vehicle deployed. Anthony reported to wearing his seatbelt and his vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.  Anthony was cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.   Enrique reported he was wearing his seatbelt and the semi-truck was towed due to disabling damage. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Rock County Deputies assisted at the scene.


Monticello Police

On Sept. 26:

● 10:06 p.m., a 23 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. for Operating While Intoxicated and Prohibited Alcohol Content. He was also cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Required. 10:19pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for a Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved. 

On Sept. 27:

● At approximately 9:36 a.m., Officers assisted a citizen in the 300 block of S. Garfield Street with a possible missing key. 

● 6:54 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 13th St. for the report of Damage to Property; a sign of undisclosed value was damaged. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 7:48 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of E Exchange St. for the report of Damage to Property; an outdoor rug was damaged. This matter remains under investigation. 

On Sept. 28:

● At approximately 3:33 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Pratt Road for a reported 911 call/misdial.  Officers were able to make contact at the location the call was made from.  Everything appeared to be okay.

● 5:04 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 19th St. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subjects involved in an altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

On Oct. 5:

● At approximately 8:44 a.m., Officers received a reported 911 call from the 400 block of Summit Avenue.  Everything was found to be okay and that there was no emergency. 

● At approximately 12:17 p.m., Officers responded within the village for a reported medical emergency. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

On Oct. 6:

● At approximately 7:10 a.m., Officers responded within the Village for a medical emergency call. Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

● At approximately 3:18 p.m., Officers received a report of a possible sexual assault that occurred in the village at an undisclosed location. The incident is under investigation. 

● At approximately 4:17 p.m., Officers were contacted by a citizen in the 200 block of N. Main Street in reference to an eviction. The citizen was advised that the situation is civil matter. They were advised the matter would have to go through a legal eviction process. No further action was needed. 

● At approximately 4:41 p.m., Officers were contacted in reference to some lost property in the 200 block of N. Main Street. The property was located and returned to its owner. 

On Oct. 10:

● At approximately 11:10 a.m., Officers received a report of a lost cell phone last known to be in the 200 block of N. Main Street. 

● At approximately 1:26 p.m., Officers assisted the Dane County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation.  

On Oct. 11:

● At approximately 9:03 p.m., Officers responded and assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with an incident in the 100 block of N. Water Street in the Village of Albany.
