Green County Sheriff
On April 27:
● At 2:30 p.m., in the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe, Deputies took Robyn N. Flannery, 39 of Apple River into custody on a warrant through Green County. Flannery was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
● At 1:07 a.m., Deputies along with Albany EMS and Albany Fire Department responded to the N5600 block of State Highway 104, for a vehicle versus cow crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Kittana R. Kulig, 22 of Johnson Creek was traveling southbound when she collided with a cow in the roadway. Kulig reported non-life-threatening injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On April 28:
● At approximately 8:28 p.m., Deputies located a vehicle parked partially in the roadway in the N100 blk of Mt. Hope Rd., Town of Spring Grove. Investigation resulted in the operator, Michal R. Tobler, 56 of Davis, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol — 1st Offense. Michal was also cited for Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Michal was later released to a responsible party with a mandatory future court date.
● At approximately 12:23 a.m., Deputies responded to the 500 block of W. Coates Ave., Village of Monticello, for a report of an altercation that took place the prior evening. After an investigation was conducted, Deputies placed Bradley A. Miller, 33 of Monticello, under arrest for Bail Jumping (Misd). Bradley was jailed pending posting of his bond or his initial court appearance.
On April 30:
● At 4:33 p.m., Deputies responded to a car vs power pole crash in the N3900 block of Goepfert Rd., in the Town of Monroe. Ronald L. Brandt Jr., age 54 of rural Monroe was traveling north when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle rotated counter-clockwise, crossed the center-line, and collided with a power pole in the west ditch. Ronald reported wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the collision. The black 2016 Maserati Granturismo sustained disabling damage to the driver’s side, rear, and front; there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was removed from the scene by private party. The power pole sustained very minor damage. Ronald was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to notify police of an accident.
● At 5:38 p.m., while on patrol deputies observed a vehicle on the side of the roadway with its four-way hazards lights activated located in the N5600 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington. After investigation deputies discovered that the home-made trailer that was hauling an ATV became detached from the vehicle. After becoming detached the trailer proceed to travel into the southern ditch line, overturned, then came to a rest on its right-hand side. The ATV became detached from the trailer sustaining disabling damage. The trailed was home made with no vehicle identification number and was unregistered trailer. The driver Elizabeth Virgen De La Torre, 27 of Madison, advised she was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt, and was unsure if the vehicle had insurance. Elizabeth was verbally warned for not proof of insurance. The passenger Francisco Maximiliano Ayala Guevara, 32 of Madison, reported wearing his seatbelt, was not injured, and the ATV was insured. Francisco advised that he had a tow truck already en-route to remove both the trailer and ATV from the scene.
● At approximately 10:35 p.m., deputies performed a traffic stop in the N7400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus, on a vehicle for its speed. Deputies spoke with the driver Devonje L Hereford, 19 of Freeport IL. An investigation resulted in Devonje being cited for operating with a suspended license, possession of less than 25 grams of THC, and speeding 80/55 mph zone.
On May 1:
● At 9:08 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe to assist Probation and Parole agents. Investigation resulted in Travis J. Runke, 50 of Albany being arrested for a Probation Violation. Runke was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
● At 9:27 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation in the W5000 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the driver, Andrew J. Swift, 36 of Mt. Morris IL being cited for Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Swift was released pending court.
Monticello Police
On April 17:
● 5:56 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of E 9th Ave. for the report of Damage to Property; a windshield and tire were damaged. This matter remains under investigation.
On April 21:
● 9:23 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of W Exchange St. for the report of a Traffic Crash; a vehiclebacked into another vehicle. No citations were issued.
On April 22:
● 8:33 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of a Traffic Crash and Disorderly Conduct; subjects involved in a minor accident and a verbal altercation. This matter remains under investigation.
Monroe Police
On April 30:
● At approximately 12:00 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 9th Street, for a license violation. Investigation into the stop resulted in the driver, James D. Lehman, 62, Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence 1st Offense. James was also arrested for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration 1st Offense and cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License 1st Offense. James was later released to a responsible party, pending court.
Lafayette County Sheriff
On May 1:
● 9:34 PM Cindy L Leonard, 58, Hollandale reported striking a deer on STH 78, Wiota Township. No injuries were reported and Leonard’s 2010 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On May 2:
● 11:57 PM Lawrence C Mack, 23, Coralville, IA was arrested on a valid North Carolina warrant following a traffic stop on USH 151, Belmont Township. Mack’s passenger, Carlos D Simmons, 37, also of Coralville, IA was arrested on a valid Minnesota warrant. Both subjects were transported to the Lafayette County Jail where they were booked and await extradition.
