● 12:24 AM Blanchardville EMS responded to Maple ST in the Village for a medical emergency.
● 3:42 AM Deputies responded to CTH M, Wiota Township for a check welfare. John W Thompson, JR, 43, Browntown was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct. Thompson was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he posted bond.
● 9:43 AM A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a two vehicle accident. Andrew F Goebel, 70, Mineral Point was traveling eastbound on CTH G in his 2005 Chevrolet when he failed to observe a Lafayette County Highway Department Flagger truck and struck the rear of the vehicle. Goebel was cited for Inattentive Driving, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.
● 12:08 PM A deputy responded to S Galena ST in the Village of South Wayne for an animal problem.
● 12:45 PM A deputy responded to CTH P, Gratiot Township for a citizen assist.
● 1:02 PM A deputy responded to E South ST in the Village of South Wayne for an animal problem.
● 3:14 PM A deputy responded to CTH S, Willow Springs Township for a theft.
● 3:32 PM A deputy responded to High ST, New Diggings Township for a check welfare.
● 4:03 PM A deputy responded to STH 11, New Diggings Township for a traffic hazard.

● 5:07 PM Deputies responded to Furnace Hill RD, Willow Springs Township to assist the Fennimore Police.
● 5:32 PM Wiota First and Fire and Argyle EMS responded to Walnut RD, Wiota Township for a two vehicle accident. Raquel R Reuter, 16, Gratiot was traveling eastbound in a 2022 Kia when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway, at which point the driver overcorrected, came back onto the roadway and collided with a 2003 Peterbuilt being operated by John W Loy, 48, Glen Haven. Reuter was transported to the hospital while Loy denied EMS. Loy’s vehicle was driven from the scene with moderate damage and Reuter’s was towed with disabling damage.
● 9:09 PM Marci L Enloe, 50, Blanchardville reported striking a deer on STH 78, Blanchard Township. No injuries were reported and Enloe’s 2020 Honda received moderate damage.

● 7:22 AM A deputy responded to Main St, Village of Gratiot for a disorderly conduct.
● 8:44 AM A deputy responded to Hill St, Darlington Township for a check welfare.
● 9:11 AM Belmont EMS responded to Walnut St, Village of Belmont for a medical emergency.
● 10:18 AM Blanchardville EMS responded to S Main St, Village of Blanchardville for a medical emergency.
● 5:00 PM A deputy responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for livestock on the roadway.
● 5:48 PM A deputy responded to S McKnight St, Village of South Wayne for a domestic dispute.

On April 21:
● 5:50 AM Lafayette County EMS responded to Fayette Rd, Darlington Township for a medical emergency.
● 6:12 AM Deputies responded to CTH W, Benton Township for a 911 misdial.
● 12:03 PM Brandi R Payne-Armendarez, 44, Argyle was arrested by the Green County Sheriff’s Office on a valid Lafayette County warrant. Payne-Armendarez was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.
● 12:17 PM A deputy responded to Robert Homb Memorial Dr, Village of South Wayne for a suspicious activity complaint.
● 4:51 PM Deputies responded to CTH W, Benton Township for a domestic dispute. As a result, Mallissa M Miller, 35, East Dubuque IL was arrested on a valid JoDaviess County warrant. Miller was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody. Ronald J Leifker Sr, 57, Hazel Green was arrested for Aggravated Battery and was also transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
● 9:52 PM A deputy responded to Hammer Ln, New Diggings Township for a noise complaint.
On April 22:
● 1:48 AM Deputies responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for suspicious activity. Benjamin R Everson, 34, Fennimore was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Bail Jumping, and Probation Violation. Everson was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
● 5:56 AM Shullsburg Fire and EMS responded to CTH U, Seymour Township for a barn fire. Darlington, Gratiot, and Belmont Fire and deputies assisted on scene.
● 11:02 AM Belmont EMS responded to S Penn ST in the Village for a medical emergency. Southwest Health EMS assisted on scene.
● 11:20 AM A deputy responded to CTH P, Monticello Township for a traffic complaint.
● 12:31 PM Lafayette County EMS responded to W Catherine ST in the City for a medical emergency.
● 12:48 PM A deputy responded to STH 126, Elk Grove Township for a vehicle in the ditch.
● 1:17 PM A deputy responded to N Judgement ST in the City of Shullsburg for a two vehicle accident. Landon G Leahy, 17, Gratiot was driving in the school parking lot in a 2016 Chevrolet when he backed into a 2012 Kia, being operated by Elsie M Ennis, 16, Shullsburg. No injuries were reported and both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene.

● 8:29 AM A deputy assisted Darlington Police on E Ann ST in the City for a check welfare.
● 9:24 AM A deputy responded to Rowesville RD, Seymour Township for a 911 misdial.
● 9:26 AM Deputies responded to New Line RD, Kendall Township for check welfare.
● 12:01 PM A deputy responded to CTH F, Darlington Township for check welfare. Darlington Police assisted.
● 3:34 PM A deputy responded to Trotter LN, Argyle Township for suspicious activity.
● 5:27 PM Gratiot Fire responded to Donald LN, Gratiot Township for a skid steer on fire. Deputies assisted on scene.
● 6:32 PM A deputy responded to Mau RD, Wayne Township for a traffic hazard.
● 6:38 PM Lafayette County EMS responded to W Catherine ST in the City for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene.
● 11:13 PM Shullsburg EMS responded to W Main ST in the City for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.
● 11:48 PM Rana N Lindeman, 37, Darlington reported striking a deer on Spring Brook RD, Wiota Township. No injuries were reported and Lindeman’s 2005 Toyota received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Green County Sheriff
On April 30:
● At approximately 1:05 PM, Deputies and the Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash in the W6300 block of Iliff Rd, Town of Monroe. Investigations determined the driver, Jeffrey L Thomm, 75, of Monroe, was traveling westbound on Iliff Rd when he lost control of his vehicle and it left the roadway. Thomm reported injury as a result of the crash. Seatbelt usage is unknown. Thomm’s vehicle sustained moderate damages and was towed from the scene.
On May 2:
● At approximately 7:15 PM, Deputies responded to the N4700 block of County Highway J, Town of Monroe, for a car versus turkey crash. Investigation determined the operator, Brian M. Sherven, 40 of Belleville, was traveling north when the turkey entered the roadway and was struck by his vehicle. Brian was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. The truck sustained minor damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene.
● At approximately 10:19 PM, Deputies, the Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS, responded to the W300 block of Stateline Rd., Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a one vehicle crash. Investigation determined that the operator, Jennifer Moore, 50 of Rock City, IL, was traveling north on Best Rd. when she failed to stop at the stop sign. Jennifer continued through the intersection, struck an embankment and became airborne, coming to a rest in a field. Jennifer reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Further investigation resulted in Jennifer being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence of Alcohol – 1st Offense. Jennifer was transported to the Green County Jail where she will be temporarily held. Jennifer was given a future court appearance date.
On May 5:
● At approximately 1:50 AM, Deputies responded to the N400 block of Dinges Rd, Town of Clarno, for a report of a disorderly subject. Investigations resulted in Landon D Roelfs, 21, of Freeport, being arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting/obstructing, and threats to law enforcement. Roelfs was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
On May 6:
● At 1:01 AM, the morning of May 6th, 2022, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W5200 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe. Investigations resulted in the driver, Emilio N Bravo Bamaca, 24, of Beloit, being cited for Operate Without a Valid license (2nd within 3 years). Bravo Bamaca was released pending a court date.
On May 7:
● At approximately 10:32 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway F and Purintun Rd, Town of Mt Pleasant, for a semi versus car accident. Investigations found that a semi tractor trailer unit operated by Robert E Edler, 65, of Juda, reported being westbound on County Highway F. Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit crossed the center line while negotiating a curve in the roadway. While negotiating this curve Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit struck an SUV operated by Jordyn K Venden, 23, of Brodhead, who was eastbound. Both Edler and Venden reported no injuries and both reported wearing their seatbelts. Edler’s semi tractor trailer unit’s airbags did not deploy. Venden’s vehicles airbags did deploy. Both units sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene. Edler was cited for operating left of center and released with a court date.
● At approximately 2:22 PM, Deputies responded to the probation and parole office to take custody of Jeremy L Hartwig, 34, of Albany.
● At approximately 11:21 PM, Deputies, along with the Browntown Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the N2200 block of Cadiz Springs Rd, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a car vs tree accident. Investigations found that the driver, identified as Trinity J Jackson, 17, of Monroe, was northbound on Cadiz Springs Rd when a deer entered the roadway. Jackson reported taking evasive action and lost control of the vehicle, striking a tree. Jackson reported injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and there was airbag deployment in the vehicle. Jackson’s three juvenile passengers reported injury and reported wearing their seatbelts. Jackson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Jackson was cited for a probationary license violation. Jackson was released pending court.
On May 7:
● At approximately 8:29 AM, Deputies responded to the W400 block of State Highway 59, Town of Albany, for a truck vs tractor. Investigation determined the tractor, operated by Joseph J Reilly, 36, of Albany, was eastbound on State Highway 59 and had signaled pulling into a field drive on the North side of the roadway. Another eastbound vehicle operated by Shayne A Hudson, 52, of Monroe, was behind the tractor and attempted to pass on the left, striking the manure spreader the tractor was towing. Reilly reported no injuries and damages to the manure spreader. Hudson reported wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries. Hudson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Hudson was cited for passing in a no passing zone and release with a court date.
● At 11:48 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the W600 block of State Highway 11, Town of Spring Grove. As a result of the stop, the driver, Brea R Byrd, 24, of Edgerton, was cited for operate without a valid license (2nd within three years) and failure to install an ignition interlock device. Byrd was released pending court.
On May 9:
● At 3:37 am, Deputies stopped Paul H. Heck, 22, of Freeport, for speeding in the N4700 block of STH 104, Decatur Township. Paul was cited for speeding 70/55 as well as possession of paraphernalia.
● At approximately 12:50 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a commercial motor vehicle in the W5700 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe. An inspection was conducted which resulted in the CMV’s trailer being placed out of service for the following reasons: Defective Trailer Brake Lamps, Axle Air Leak, Unsecured Fire Extinguisher, Faulty Front Impact Guard
● At approximately 11:30 PM, Deputies responded to the W7400 block of State Highway 39, Town of York, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation resulted in the operator, Alexis L. McCluskey, 23 of New Glarus, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence of Alcohol – 2nd Offense. Alexis was issued a future court date and was released to a responsible party. Alexis was not injured during the crash and reported wearing her seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
On May 15:
● At approximately 12:53 PM, Deputies along with New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire, and New Glarus EMS, responded to the N8700 block of County Highway O, Town of New Glarus, for an unknown motor vehicle crash with reported injuries. The investigation determined a motorcycle operated by Ricky Aruffo, 61, of Plano (TX) was southbound on County Highway O when he sideswiped a parked motorcycle along the side of the road operated by John D Sweitzer, 56, of Champaign (IL). Aruffo lost control of his motorcycle and struck a chain leading to a driveway. Sweitzer was not injured and had been wearing a helmet with eye protection. Sweitzer’s motorcycle sustained minor damages. Aruffo sustained injury and was wearing a helmet with eye protection. Aruffo’s motorcycle sustained disabling damages and was removed from the scene.
On May 18:
● At approximately 12:35 PM, Deputies, Albany EMS, and the Albany Fire Department responded to the N7600 block of County Highway X, Town of Brooklyn, for a car versus UTV accident. Investigations determined a vehicle driven by Der Lee, 44, of Madison, had came to a stop partially on the roadway. A UTV operated by Cathlene C Burgweger, 74, of Brooklyn, struck Lee’s vehicle, from the rear, causing the UTV to roll onto its side. As a result of the crash both Lee and Burgweger reported injuries. Lee was transported by Albany EMS for further medical evaluation. Seatbelt usage and airbag deployment is unknown. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.
On May 21:
● At 11:28 pm, deputies responded to the N3200 block of Crazy Horse Lane in Decatur Township, for a report of a verbal domestic. The investigation resulted in Stephanie A. Richards, 32, of Brodhead, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct, domestic related. Matthew L. Richards, 35, of Brodhead, was cited for disorderly conduct.
On May 23:
● At approximately 3:43 AM, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W6500 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe, for operating left of center. As a result of the traffic stop the driver, Destiny E Sabljak, 23, of Shullsburg was arrested for operating while under the influence. Sabljak was further cited for operate a motor vehicle without insurance and operating left of center. Sabljak was released, pending court, to a responsible party.
● At approximately 1:27 PM, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W5100 block of County Highway KK, Town of Monroe. As a result the driver, Jason A Dorsey, 35, of Footville was cited for operating after revocation. Dorsey was released with a court date.
Monroe Police
On April 29:
● 2:49 AM, officers were called to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of 16th Street. An investigation led to the arrest of Scott M. White (36), Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment, and intimidation of a victim, all under Wisconsin Domestic Violence laws. White was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
● 3:39 PM, officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 10th Street and 13th Avenue. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Donnamarie Fiorini (73), Monroe, was westbound on 10th Street, and collided with a vehicle which was southbound on 13th Avenue, operated by a 29-year-old Monroe man. Fiorini’s vehicle sustained moderate damages while the other vehicle sustained severe damages and was towed. Fiorini was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was released pending a court appearance.
On May 2:
● 3:11 PM, officers arrested Darwin D. Williams (64), Monroe, at a residence in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Brodhead Police Department for issuance of a worthless check. Williams was released pending a new court appearance.
● 7:21 PM, officers arrested Laverne J. Richards (54), Monroe, at a business in the 1300 block of 17th Street, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to pay fines. Richards was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On May 3:
● 12:50 AM, officers arrested Teri A Bredeson (37), Monroe, in the 800 block of 8th Street, after a routine check revealed that Bredeson was wanted on an active arrest warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court for a previous case. Bredeson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On May 5:
● 12:57 AM, officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2200 block of 1st Avenue. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Reina Ortega Garcia (43), Monroe, on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Ortega Garcia was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On May 7:
● 4:05 PM, Officers arrested Travis J. Runke, 49, Juda, in the 800 block of 8th Avenue W., on an active arrest warrant, through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Travis was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held.
On May 8:
● 1:15 AM, officers arrested Brian J. Backus (58), Albany, in the 900 block of 20th Avenue, following a traffic offense stop. Backus was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-ist offense, and was also cited for failure to stop for a stop sign. Backus was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On May 11:
● 5:26 PM, officers arrested John L. Carothers Muszynski (30), Monroe, in the 700 block of 12th Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department from a prior domestic disturbance case. Carothers Muszynski was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
