Brodhead Police

On July 1:

● 10:37pm, while on patrol, Police noticed suspicious activity in the N100 block of 1st Center Ave; occupied vehicle in park lot after hours. Contact with driver was made and a verbal warning for park hours was issued. No additional suspicious activity was found. 

On July 2:

● 2:26am, a 30 year old Footville man was arrested in the 600 block of 1st Center Ave for Operating While Intoxicated and Operating With Prohibited Blood Alcohol Content. 

● 1:50pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of W Exchange St for the report of an animal problem; dog at large. Officers were unable to locate the dog. 

● 8:25pm, a 42 year old Janesville man was arrested in the 800 block of Green St for Operating While Intoxicated — 2nd Offense, Operating With Prohibited Blood Alcohol Content, and Speeding. 

● 10:25pm, a 37 year old Monroe woman was arrested in the 2100 block of 1st Center Ave for Operating While Intoxicated — 2nd Offense.  

On July 3:

● 2:33a.m., while on patrol, Police noticed individuals in a building after business hours in the 200 block of 23Rd.St. Officers made contact with the individuals, who were found to be employees working. No additional suspicious activity was found. 

● 4:38a.m., while on patrol, Police located an individual in the 1100 block of 11th St in the park after hours. Contact with the subject was made and a verbal warning was issued. Subject left area. 

● 10:35p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of 8th St for the report of Fireworks. Officers patrolled the area but were unable to hear any further fireworks. 


Darlington Police

On June 29:

● Naun Palam-Murillo, age 34, of Darlington, was cited at approximately 6:48 PM for operating without a valid license, operating without insurance, and failure to keep his vehicle under control following a traffic complaint on Minerva Street.

On July 2:

● Thomas D. Reichling, age 62, of Darlington, was arrested at approximately 12:46 AM, for OWI on a UTV following a traffic stop on CTH K.

On July 3:

● Ricki S. Mclin, age 28, of Belvidere, IL, was cited at approximately 12:47 AM, for failure to stop at a stop sign following a traffic stop on County Shop Road.

● Elder M. Cuz-Yatz, age 24, of Monroe, was cited at approximately 1:38 AM, for operating without valid license following a traffic stop on County Shop Road.

● Holly C. McDermott, age 33, of Platteville, was cited at approximately 7:17 PM, for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on STH 81.

On July 9:

● At approximately 11:05pm, officers responded to the 2200 block of 11th Street for a domestic dispute. Investigation resulted in Roneil G. Haynes, 41, of Monroe being arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Domestic Abuse), and Battery (Domestic Abuse). Roneil was taken to the Green County Jail, where he later posted bond and was released pending court.


Monticello Police

On June 21

● At approximately 5:40 p.m., Officers conducted traffic control at the intersection of N. Main Street and E. Coates Avenue for Monticello Fire First Response.  Monticello Fire First Response was responding to an emergency medical call outside of the village. 

● At approximately 5:49 p.m., Officers came across a semi-trailer with the rear half on fire. Officers requested the Monticello Fire Department to the 400 block of N. Pratt Road. The fire was extinguished. 

On June 22:

● At approximately 9:38 a.m., Officers responded to the 400 block of E. Coates Avenue for a reported dog at large that was captured.  Officers were able to contact the dog’s owner who took custody of the dog a short time later.

On June 23:

● At approximately 9:38 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a possible property maintenance violation, excessive length of grass and vegetation, in the 100 block of W. North Avenue.  The matter is under review. 

● At approximately 4:32 p.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a welfare check on a citizen who used to reside in the village.  Officers contacted the appropriate law enforcement agency to conduct the welfare check.  Contact was made and everything appeared to be okay. 

● At approximately 6:32 p.m., Officers located an unsecured building while doing security checks at an undisclosed location in the village.  Everything appeared to be okay and the building was secured.

On June 24:

● At approximately 3:16 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of N. Main Street for a report of a suspicious person in the area.  The suspect was contacted and known by the officers.  Everything was found to be okay.
