● 5:26 p.m. Bryan C Andrews, 50, Brodhead reported striking a deer on STH 81, Darlington Township. No injuries were reported and Andrews’s 2007 Toyota received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 5:30 p.m. Jasmine R Hawk, 32, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on STH 11, Shullsburg Township. No injuries were reported and Hawk’s 2010 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 5:33 p.m. A deputy responded to Aetna RD, Shullsburg Township for a check welfare.

● 8:39 p.m. A deputy responded to S Varnum ST in the Village of South Wayne for a 911 misdial.

● 3:39 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Blanchard Township for a tree in the middle of the roadway.  Lafayette County Highway Department assisted on scene. 

● 3:39 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Argyle Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 3:51 a.m. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS responded to Mound Avenue Rd, Town of Belmont for a structure fire.  Platteville Fire, Mineral Point Fire and Belmont Police Department assisted on scene.

● 4:20 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Town of Belmont for a one vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, a 2007 Dodge owned by Emil O. Morazon-Rodriguez, 32, Platteville was unoccupied.  The vehicle was towed from the scene with moderate damage. 

● 5:44 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Lamont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 8:15 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Gratiot Township to assist the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. 

● 10:39 a.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to S Judgement St, City of Shullsburg for a medical emergency. 

● 2:21 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Town of Gratiot to assist with a vehicle unlock. 

● 5:51 p.m. A deputy responded to W Church St, City of Shullsburg to assist with a vehicle unlock. 

● 6:17 p.m. A deputy responded to Ohio St, City of Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a juvenile problem. 

● 6:40 p.m. A deputy encountered a two vehicle accident on STH 81, City of Darlington.  Gabrielle B Leuchtenmacher, 18, Darlington was traveling on STH 23 when she pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Todd C Dailey, 56, Platteville.  Leuchtenmacher’s 2007 Dodge and Dailey’s 2009 Dodge both received minor damage and were driven from the scene.  

● 8:00 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Town of Belmont for a one vehicle accident.  Nitanga Y Safi, 22, Des Moines IA was traveling southbound on USH 151 when she lost control of her vehicle due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle exited the road, sliding into the ditch. Safi’s 2015 Toyota received minor damage and was towed from the ditch, then driven from the scene.  

● 10:05 p.m. A deputy responded to Miner Way, Town of Shullsburg to assist with a vehicle unlock. 

● 10:07 p.m. South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded to CTH D, Town of Wayne for a medical emergency.  A deputy assisted on scene. 

On Dec. 16:

● 12:07 a.m. A deputy responded to S McKnight ST, Village of South Wayne for a parking problem. 

● 12:55 a.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a check welfare. 

● 1:38 a.m. Russell D. Brooks, 19, Platteville was arrested in Platteville on a valid Lafayette County Warrant. Brooks was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released. 

● 3:14 a.m. A deputy responded to S Mound AV, Village of Belmont for a report of criminal damage. 

● 5:49 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH N, Wayne Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 8:05 a.m. A deputy responded to Lacey RD, Wayne Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 10:18 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for an abandoned vehicle. 

● 2:05 p.m. Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a two vehicle accident. Whitney O. Wieters, 31, Shullsburg was traveling eastbound in her 2016 Ford on STH 11 when she attempted to turn North onto CTH E when she hit ice and slid past the intersection. The 2017 Hyundai driven by Julie M. Neary, 21, Lindenhurst traveling behind Wieters attempted to slow, but due to icy road conditions rear-ended Wieters’ vehicle. Both Wieters and Neary were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 2:34 p.m. Belmont EMS and Belmont Fire responded to Cottage Inn RD, Belmont Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 

● 3:12 p.m. A deputy responded to Stone Hill AV, City of Belmont to assist Darlington Police.

● 3:51 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 4:08 p.m. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a one vehicle rollover. Dustin S. Freiburger, 17, Mineral Point, was traveling westbound on CTH XX when he lost control, crossed the centerline, and overturned into the river. Freiburger and his two passengers reported no injuries. Freiburger’s 2007 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Freiburger was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and GDL violation.

● 5:19 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH A, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 6:32 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 8:51 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 9:00 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Fayette Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 9:24 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH S, Willow Springs Township for a threats complaint. 

● 9:28 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to W Catherine ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 10:11 p.m. A deputy responded to Bean Street RD, Benton Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

On Dec. 17:

● 1:52 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Kendall Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 4:35 a.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a two-vehicle accident. Joel Hernandez-Miranda, 33, South Wayne was traveling southbound on STH 23 in his 2004 Dodge when he crossed the centerline and hit the oncoming 2002 Jeep driven by Denise K. Springer, 61, Shullsburg. The impact caused Springer to lose control, with the vehicle leaving the roadway, and overturning in the ditch line.  Springer reported minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Both vehicles received disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Hernandez-Miranda was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Operating Without Insurance, and Operating Without a Valid License. Deputies assisted on scene. 

● 7:49 a.m. Jeffrey S. Gassman, 55, Barneveld was cited for Speeding on Pleasant View Rd, Seymour Township. 

● 8:01 a.m. A deputy responded to Lacey RD, Wayne Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 8:21 a.m. Blanchardville EMS responded to Maple ST in the Village for a medical emergency. 

● 10:39 a.m. A deputy responded to S Iowa ST, City of Shullsburg for a hit and run.

● 7:37 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Town of Benton for an animal injured on the roadway. 

● 8:16 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH Z, Town of Willow Springs for a hit and run. 

● 9:20 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a theft. 

● 10:08 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Town of Gratiot for a vehicle versus tree. Scott A. G Gordon, 57, Coralville IA was traveling on STH 11 when he lost control of his vehicle due to a medical issue.  Gordon’s vehicle exited the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a tree. Gordon was transported by EMS to the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.  Gordon’s 2014 Honda received severed damage and was towed from the scene.  Gratiot First Response, Gratiot Fire and Green County EMS assisted on scene. 

● 4:17 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Town of Elk Grove for a citizen’s assist. 

● 8:06 p.m. Ricky L Rognon Jr. 36, Edgerton, was arrested in Rock County for a valid Lafayette County warrant. Rognon was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.  

● 8:28 p.m. A deputy responded to Main St, Village of Gratiot for a probation violation. 

On Dec. 20:

● 1:30 a.m. Cole C Bechman, 22, Delavan was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated (1st) on STH 11, Gratiot Township.  Bechman was later released to a responsible party. 

● 5:57 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for an abandoned vehicle. 

● 7:01 a.m. Jacob T Mootz, 46, Belmont reported striking a deer on CTH G, Belmont Township. Mootz’ 2007 Honda received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:56 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to Main St, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. 

● 9:09 a.m. A deputy responded to Christensen Dr, City of Darlington to assist with a vehicle unlock. 

● 9:49 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH KK, Town of Gratiot for a threats to injure complaint. 

● 4:57 p.m. Kole A Figi, 28, Monroe was arrested in the City of Monroe on a valid Lafayette County warrant.  Figi was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

● 5:12 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg for a keep the peace. 

● 6:08 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Gratiot Township for a one vehicle accident. Kyle R Diamantos, 22, Burbank IL was traveling on CTH W when, due to mechanical issues,  he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and enter the ditch.  No injuries were reported.  Diamantos’ 2013 Kia received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

● 6:17 p.m. Mary D Amaya, 44, Cuba City was cited for Speeding on CTH XX, Town of Belmont. 

● 6:34 p.m. A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle on USH 151, Town of Platteville.

● 6:49 p.m. A deputy responded to Water St, Village of Benton to assist the Platteville Police Department with a check welfare.

● 7:21 p.m. Deputies responded to S Judgement St, City of Shullsburg for a disorderly conduct. 

● 7:40 p.m. Shawn D Joslin, 29, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH F, Fayette Township. Joslin’s 2021 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Dec. 21:

● 12:06 a.m. A deputy responded to E Pleasant ST in the Village of South Wayne for a parking problem.

● 2:10 a.m. South Wayne First and Green County EMS responded to Tollakson RD, Wayne Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 10:44 a.m. Blanchardville EMS responded to W Wilson ST in the Village for a medical emergency. Blanchardville Police assisted on scene.

● 11:38 a.m. Benton First and Hazel Green EMS responded to Alma ST in the Village for a medical emergency.

● 12:36 p.m. Evan B Graves, 19, Apple River, IL was cited for Speeding on STH 11, New Diggings Township.

● 1:34 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to Woodberry RD, Lamont Township for a UTV fire. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 2:01 p.m. Belmont EMS responded to Burr Oak RD, Kendall Township for a medical emergency.

● 3:44 p.m. Argyle EMS responded to S Lafayette ST in the Village for a medical emergency.

● 5:21 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH E, Darlington Township for a hit and run. Nelson Hernandez-Lopez, 29, Shullsburg was traveling eastbound on CTH E in a 2018 Toyota when he lost control, entered the ditch and struck a fence. No injuries were reported and Hernandez-Lopez was cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License and hit and run property.

● 5:48 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for an injured deer.

● 6:20 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a traffic complaint.

● 6:38 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Dupree L Brim, 54, Bettendorf, IA was traveling south on USH 151 in a 2018 Freightliner when an unknown object fell from an overpass, striking the windshield. No injuries were reported and Brim was able to drive from the scene.

● 7:55 p.m. Belmont Fire and EMS responded to STH 126, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle rollover. Jose M McComish, 16, Shullsburg was traveling south in a 2013 Ford when he entered the ditch, overcorrected and slid into the northbound ditch where he struck a tree causing his truck to land on its side. Minor injuries were reported and McComish’s truck was towed from the scene with disabling damage.

● 8:56 p.m. A deputy responded to Mau Rd, Wayne Township for a 911 misdial.

● 9:08 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township for an electrical fire. No injuries were reported.

On Dec. 23:

● 12:11 a.m. A deputy responded to Lincicum RD, Wayne Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 1:34 a.m. A deputy responded to W River ST, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a disorderly dispute. 

● 2:30 a.m.  A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 3:38 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Seymour Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 4:50 a.m. A deputy responded to N Lane RD, Kendall Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 4:50 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a disabled vehicle. 

● 5:13 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH P, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. Shawn M. Ryan, 40, Albany was arrested on a valid Lafayette County warrant. Ryan was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. 

● 5:48 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH E, Shullsburg Township for a disabled vehicle. 

● 6:08 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch.


Brodhead Police

On Dec. 16:

● 11:26 a.m., a 28 year old Brodhead man was cited for Dog At Large following an Animal Complaint in the 1200 block of 16th St. 

● 11:51 a.m., Police responded to the 1400 block of 11th St for the report of an Animal Problem; dog at large. Officers made contact with owner and verbal warning was issued. 

● 3:11 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of W. Exchange St for the report of Suspicious Activity; suspicious footsteps in snow surrounding vehicles. This matter remains under investigation.

On Dec. 17:

● 12:24 p.m., Police responded to the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of a Hazard; disabled vehicle in roadway. Contact with driver was made and it was determined driver had a trailer en route to remove the vehicle. 

● 11:55 p.m., while on patrol, Officers located Suspicious Activity in the 2300 block of W 8th Ave; vehicle in lot after hours. Officers investigated and found the vehicle to be unoccupied — no additional Suspicious Activity was found. 

On Dec. 18:

● 6:57 a.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Burglary. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 2:24 p.m., Police responded to the 700 block of 17th St. for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and warnings were issued. 

● 4:08 p.m., Police responded to the 800 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Harassment, a subject received unwanted messages. The complainant only wished to document the behavior; informational case only. 

● 5:28 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 19th St. for the report of Fraud; a sum of money taken from an account. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 6:09 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog bite. This matter was referred to the Green County Health Department. 

● 9:33 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Domestic Problem; a subject causing a disturbance at the residence. Contact was made the matter was resolved.

On Dec. 19:

● 11:27 a.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 19th St. for the report of a Domestic Problem; subjects involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved. 

● 1:27 p.m. a juvenile was cited in the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for Possession of THC. 

● 1:39 p.m., a 40 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 1000 block of W 2nd Ave. for Domestic Disorderly Conduct.

● 5:52 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of E 9th Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a subject skateboarding on the roadway. Police checked the area but did not locate the subject. 

● 6:21 p.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for Suspicious Activity; a vehicle parked at a closed business. Contact was made and the driver was working inside the building. 

● 8:51 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of Cedar Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; multiple vehicles in the area causing a disturbance. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicles; extra patrol requested.                    ● 10:06 p.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for Suspicious Activity; a subject walking around a business. Police contacted the subject who was identified as the property owner. 

On Dec. 20:

● 3:39 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of 1st St. for the report of a Traffic Crash; a subject backed into another vehicle. Due to this occurring on private property, no citations were issued. 

● 5:34 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of W 3rd Ave. for the report of a Traffic Crash; vehicle hit a patch of black ice and slid off the roadway. 

● 9:24 p.m., Police responded to the 100 block of Cedar Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; vehicles in the area racing and honking horns. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicles. 

On Dec. 21:

● 4:23 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of W 2nd Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; a subject allowing their dogs to defecate in the neighboring yards. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

● 6:32 p.m., Police responded to the 2100 block of W 9th Ave. for the report of a Vehicle Runoff; a vehicle slid into a ditch line. Police remained on scene until a tow company was able to pull the vehicle from the ditch.

● 9:16 p.m., a 16 year old was cited in the 100 block of Cedar Ave. for Violation of GDL Restrictions following a Traffic Stop. 

On Dec. 22:

● 1:07 a.m., Police responded to the 100 block of Cedar Ave. for the report of a Traffic Complaint; a vehicle speeding in the area. Police checked the area but did not locate the vehicle. 

On Dec. 23:

● 10:28 p.m., Police responded to the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog running at large. Police checked the area but did not locate the dog. 

● 2:09 p.m., Police received a report of Suspicious Activity in the 100 block of Cedar Ave. that occurred overnight; vehicles driving slowly through the area. This information was passed to the patrol officers.         ● 2:24 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of W Exchange St. for the report of Harassment; a subject receiving unwanted communication. Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

● 3:55 p.m., Police responded to the 400 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Theft; a lawn decoration of undisclosed value was taken. This matter remains under investigation.

On Dec. 25:

● 12:02 p.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of E 9th Ave. for a Hazard; railroad crossing signals going off without a train present. The railroad company was notified of the issue. 

● 9:45 p.m., Police responded to the W500 block of Decatur Rd (Pearl Island parking lot) for the report of Suspicious Activity; a vehicle parked in the lot for an extended time. Contact was made and no other suspicious activity was located. 

On Dec. 27:

● 10:44p.m., Police responded to the 700 block of 4th Street for a Traffic Complaint; vehicles racing in the area. Police checked the area but not locate the offending vehicles.

On Dec 31

● 1:37 p.m., Police were made aware of a Theft; subject reporting fraudulent charges on their account. This matter remains under investigation.     

● 8:08 p.m., a 19 year old Monroe man was cited in the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave for No Valid Driver License.

On Jan. 1:

● 7:28 p.m., an 18 year old Orfordville man was arrested in the 1000 block of E 5th Ave. for Operating While Intoxicated. He was also cited for Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Signal Turn. 

On Jan. 3:

● 1:18 p.m., Police responded to the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Trespassing; an unwanted subject in the building. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

On Jan. 4:

● 8:20p.m. , Police responded to the 400 block of E 9th Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued.

On Jan. 5:

● 7:43 a.m., Police responded to the 1000 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Theft; a snowblower had been taken. The item had unknowingly been put in a shed by a neighbor; there will be no charges filed. 

● 7:56 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of Alpine St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. Police checked the area but did not locate the dog. 

On Jan. 6:

● 10:42 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 10th St. for the report of a Domestic Problem; subjects in a verbal altercation. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.


Monticello Police

On Nov. 19:

● At approximately 5:28 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of W. North Avenue for a parking complaint.  A parking citation for parking against direction of traffic was issued. There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 9:01 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Main Street for a parking complaint.  A parking citation for not parking within a designated parking stall was issued.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

On Nov. 21:

● At approximately 11:27 a.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of W. North Avenue for a vehicle unlock.  The vehicle was unlocked without incident.

On Nov. 22:

● At approximately 8:55 a.m., Officers received a possible theft report in the 100 block of S. Main Street.  The investigation continues.

On Nov. 26:

● At approximately 4:47 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop on N. Main Street at Lake Avenue for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Paul A. Jaworski, 36, of Janesville was cited for Illegal Window Tint.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

● At approximately 11:36 p.m., Officers had a found bicycle turned into the police department that was located in the 200 block of N. Main Street.  The bicycle was placed into found property.

On Nov. 28:

● At approximately 9:41 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a child custody dispute. They were advised to contact their attorney.  

● At approximately 11:18 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a dog at large in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  The dog’s owner was contacted and the matter was resolved.

● At approximately 1:34 p.m., Officers were on patrol when they located an abandoned bicycle in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  The bicycle was placed into found property.

On Nov. 29:

● At approximately 4:43 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of State Hwy 69 and Urban Road for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Jose Arturo Amaro Aguilar, 28,  from Monroe was cited for Failure to Provide Proof of Vehicle Insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

On Nov. 30:

● At approximately 7:04 a.m., Officers were contacted in reference to a welfare check in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue.  Contact was made with the person in question.  Everything was found to be okay.

On Dec. 2:

● At approximately 9:00 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint in the area of Madison Street and E. Highland Ave. The vehicle was cited for parking against traffic.
