Lafayette County Sheriff

On Dec. 27:

● 5:46 p.m. Jodi L. Barth-Welsh, 59, Mineral Point was traveling on CTH F, Fayette Township when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a bridge. Barth-Welsh reported no injuries. Barth-Welsh’s 2003 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. 

● 5:52 p.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to E Catherine ST, City of Darlington for a medical emergency. Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 6:52 p.m.  Meranda S. Breed, 26, Warren was traveling on CTH W, White Oak Springs Township when she drove on ice, lost control of her vehicle and struck a guard rail. Breed and her passenger reported no injuries. Breed’s 2017 Dodge received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. 

On Dec. 29:

● 5:22 a.m. A deputy responded to Back RD, Elk Grove Township, for a 911 misdial.

● 6:08 a.m. South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded to CTH DD, Wayne Township, for a medical emergency.

● 6:17 a.m. Argyle EMS and Woodford First Response responded to Jordan-Wiota RD, Wiota Township, for a medical emergency.

● 7:21 a.m. A deputy assisted Blanchardville Police Department with a wanted person on W Church ST in the Village of Blanchardville. 

● 9:22 a.m. A deputy responded to a one vehicle accident on Rennick RD, Shullsburg Township. Linda S. Ballard, 73, Shullsburg, was traveling on Rennick RD when she encountered slippery road conditions causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a house. Ballard’s 2022 Ford received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Ballard was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Shullsburg Fire Department, Shullsburg EMS, and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.

● 5:12 p.m. Argyle EMS responded to East ST in the Village of Argyle for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 5:20 p.m. Connor J. Henning, 21, Huntley, was cited for Speeding on STH 23, Darlington Township.

● 5:20 p.m. Bryce H. Faworski, 20, Winnebago, IL, was cited for Speeding on STH 23, Darlington Township.

● 6:51 p.m. Richard A. Schultz, 60, Shullsburg, was cited for Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle on STH 81, Seymour Township.

● 9:49 p.m. A deputy assisted Iowa County Sheriff’s Office with a 911 misdial on W Wilson ST in the Village of Blanchardville, Iowa County.

● 10:32 p.m. Wayne E. Berg, 53, Shullsburg, was arrested on a valid Probation Violation on Miner Way in the City of Shullsburg. Berg was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

● 10:37 p.m. Gratiot First Response and Warren EMS responded to White School RD, Gratiot Township, for a medical emergency. Green County EMS assisted.

On Dec. 30:

● 1:09 a.m. A deputy responded to Galena ST, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with a traffic stop. Lafayette County EMS assisted on scene. 

● 10:02 a.m.  A deputy responded to W Wood ST, City of Shullsburg to assist Probation and Parole. 

● 11:06 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for traffic control. 

● 12:24 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg for a 911 misdial.

● 5:53 p.m. Conner J. Pahnke, 27, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on STH 11, Shullsburg Township. Pahnke’s 2021 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 11:05 p.m. Annabelle M. Strzyzykowski, 38, Beloit was cited for Speeding on STH 11, Gratiot Township.

On Dec. 31:

● 7:46 a.m. Lisa M. Flanagan, 53, Woodford reported striking a deer on CTH Y, Wiota Township. Flanagan’s 2007 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 8:29 a.m. Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH K, Darlington Township for a medical emergency. Darlington Police and a deputy assisted on scene. 

● 8:53 a.m. A deputy responded to Saint Peters RD, Seymour Township for a 911 misdial.

● 4:27 a.m. Isaac R. Marquez, 17, Darlington was cited for Disorderly Conduct on Division ST, City of Darlington. 

● 6:28 a.m. A deputy responded to Tama Run LN, Darlington Township for a 911 misdial. 

● 7:03 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 11:31 a.m. Amanda A. Chapin, 50, Monroe was arrested in Monroe on a valid Lafayette County Warrant. Chapin was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and remains. 

● 12:18 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Monticello Township for a disabled vehicle. 

● 1:58 p.m. A deputy responded to Alvin ST, Village of Blanchardville for a 911 misdial. 

● 3:04 p.m. A deputy responded to W Oates ST, City of Shullsburg for a 911 misdial. 

3:12 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for an injured animal. 

● 3:22 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH N, Wayne Township for a one vehicle accident. Leane E. Richardson, 26, Monroe was traveling on CTH N when she hit black ice and lost control of her vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and come to rest in a culvert. Richardson reported no injuries. Richardson’s 2019 Dodge received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. 

● 10:17 p.m. Hieu V. Duong, 47, Platteville was cited on STH 81, Darlington Township for Speeding and Operating Left of Center.

● 10:38 p.m. Cody M. Baxter, 20, Monroe was cited for Speeding on STH 81, Darlington Township. 

● 11:06 p.m. Eduin R. Flores-Flores was cited on STH 81, Darlington Township for Operating after Suspension and Speeding.

● 12:37 a.m. Deputies responded to Galena St, Village of Benton for a restraining order violation.

On Jan. 3:

● 6:33 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH O, Kendall Township for a one vehicle accident.  Adam J Pinnow, 33, Blanchardville was traveling on CTH O when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway, enter the ditch and strike a fence.  No injuries were reported.  Pinnow’s 2007 Honda received minor damage. 

● 1:16 p.m. A deputy responded to N Van Buren St, Village of Benton to assist the Benton Police Department with a check welfare.

● 4:19 p.m. A deputy responded to Chapman Rd, Gratiot Township for a reported suspicious vehicle. 

● 5:36 p.m. Lee M Fitzsimons, 36, Apple River IL was cited for No Seatbelt on STH 81, Darlington Township. 

● 6:34 p.m. Deputies responded to W Catherine St, City of Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a one vehicle accident. 

● 8:11 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 126, Elk Grove Township for a check welfare.

● 11:28 a.m. A deputy responded to Monroe ST, Village of Argyle for a 911 misdial. 

● 11:42 a.m. Angela N. Gillen, 31, Benton was arrested on a valid Carroll County warrant in the Village of Benton. Gillen was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.

● 4:04 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township to assist the Warren Police.

● 5:12 p.m. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Kaitlyn M. Johnson, 22, Darlington was traveling on CTH XX when she lost control of her vehicle, exited the roadway and struck a tree. Johnson was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Johnson’s 2008 Saturn received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A deputy assisted on scene.  


Monticello Police

On Dec. 13:

● At approximately 12:03 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation in the area of W. Coates Avenue and Washington Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Levi T. Burns, 26, of Freeport, Illinois was cited for Speeding.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 12:46 p.m., Officers received a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 300 block of S. Garfield Street.  The area was checked and monitored by officers. 

● At approximately 1:14 p.m., Officers had responded to the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue for a parking complaint.  A parking citation for violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance was issued.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.  

On Dec. 14:

● At approximately 2:08 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue for a continuing parking violation.  The vehicle had been cited on 12-12-22 and 12-13-22 for violations of the 24-hour parking ordinance.  The vehicle was towed and impounded from this location.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 3:43 p.m., Officers conducted traffic control on N. Main Street at Coates Avenue for Monticello First Response who were responding to an emergency medical call in the township. 

● At approximately 5:38 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Coates Avenue at Madison Street for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Avila R. Castellanos, 39, of Monroe was cited for Speeding, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Drivers License and No Proof of Vehicle Insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 6:41 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Pratt Road and E. Lake Avenue for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Bonita P. Dickman, 30, of Monticello was cited for No Proof of Vehicle Insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

On Dec. 15:

● Starting at approximately 5:00 a.m., Officer issued (24) parking citations for violation of the Winter Parking Ordinance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

● At approximately 3:10 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of E. Coates Avenue for a 911 open line call.  No signs of distress were overheard.  The building where the 911 call originated from was checked and everything appeared to be okay. 

On Dec. 16:

● At approximately 3:15 p.m., Officers were met in the village hall lobby by a resident who found a dog running loose in the W3600 block of Purintun Road.  The dog’s owner was located and the dog was turned over to its owner. 

● At approximately 8:09 p.m., Officers were notified of a dog that had broken its chain and was now running loose.  The dog was eventually located by its owner.  

On Dec. 17:

● At approximately 5:54 p.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 

● At approximately 6:09 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Pratt Road for a 911 call.  After officers arrived it was found that 911 was accidentally dialed.  Everything appeared to be okay. 

● At approximately 9:45 p.m., Officers were requested to assist the Green County Sheriff’s Office in the N6900 block of State Hwy 69 with a welfare check.  Officers were requested to check for a subject walking along the highway.  The highway was checked and the subject was not located. 

● At approximately 9:55 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop on State Hwy 69 at W. Coates Avenue for an observed traffic violation.  As a result of the traffic stop, Codie D.W Mau, 26, of Argyle was cited for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed and No Proof of Vehicle Insurance.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

On Dec. 18:

● At approximately 11:54 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of S. Main Street for a parking complaint.  A parking citation for violation of the 24-hour No Parking ordinance was issued.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

On Dec. 19:

● At approximately 3:28 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of S. Main Street for a parking complaint.  A parking citation for violation of the 24-hour No Parking ordinance was issued.  The vehicle was also marked for being towed.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.


Monroe Police

On Dec. 20:

● 7:42 a.m., officers arrested Jeffery K. Norton (36) Monroe, following a complaint about a person violating bail conditions in the 2700 block of 8th Avenue. Norton was charged with two (2) counts of bail jumping due to violations of bail conditions from prior cases prohibiting contact with a designated person. Norton was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

● 4:27 p.m., officers arrested Kole A. Figi (28), Monroe, in the 2000 block of 9th Street, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriffs Office for failure to appear in court on a child support case. Figi was also arrested on a warrant issued by the Grant County Sheriffs Office for obstructing an officer. Figi was confined in the Green County Jail pending further action.

On Dec. 21:

● At 5:39 a.m.  officers responded to the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 8th Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Investigation revealed unit l was traveling West on 8th Street and failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign striking unit 2 which was traveling south on 22nd Avenue. Unit 2 was towed from the scene by Dons Towing. Unit l was removed from the scene by another party. Driver of unit l, Yeferson Fernado Murillo Montoya, 18 of Monticello received citations for Operating without a valid drivers license, Fail to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign and Operating w/o Insurance. No injuries reported and all parties were wearing seatbelts.

On Dec. 24:

● At approximately 2:26 a.m., Officers located a single motor vehicle crash with no persons around the vehicle Investigation revealed Jacob M. Melland, 19, Monroe, was traveling eastbound in the 2200 block of 17th Street, when he failed to negotiate a curve to the north, due to snow, ice covered roads. Jacob’s vehicle exited the roadway to the east and collided with a guy wire. Jacob was uninjured in the crash. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Jacob was cited for Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of a Crash and released pending court.

On Dec. 30:

● 1:02 p.m. officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 1300 block of 10th Street. An investigation resulted in the driver, Jean E. Justice (28), Monroe, being cited for operating without a valid driver s license. Justice also had a valid warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for a probation violation. Justice was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings. A passenger in the vehicle, Derek E. Gobeli (36), Warren (IL), was arrested on two (2) warrants through the Green County Sheriffs Office for child support. Gobeli was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On Dec. 31:

● 8:58 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle crash with no reported injuries in the 1300 block l4th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Alixandra M. Fish (22), South Wayne, was northbound on l4th Avenue, and collided with a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle. There was functional to both vehicles. Fish was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-lst offense, and was cited for operating while suspended and too fast for conditions. Fish was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On Jan. 1:

● 12:43 a.m.officers were called to a one-vehicle crash with no reported injuries at 7th Street and i4th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Edwin A. Mairena Herrera (21), Monroe, was westbound on 7th Street, turning north onto l4th Avenue, and collided with the curb, causing disabling damage to the vehicle. Mairena Herrera was subsequently arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated-1st offense, and also was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating without insurance and a tire tread depth violation. Mairena Herrera’s vehicle was towed. Mairena Herrera was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.

● 11:12 a.m., officers arrested Amanda A. Chapin (50), Monroe, at a residence in the 1300 block of 23rd Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriffs Office. Chapin was later turned over to Lafayette County Sheriffs deputies, pending a court appearance.

On Jan. 4:

● At approximately 6:24 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of 30th Avenue for a reported incident. Investigation into the incident resulted in Aaron N. Mazahreh, 45, Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Domestic related)False Imprisonment (Domestic related) Physical Abuse of a Child and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Aaron was taken to the Green County Jail where he was held pending an initial court appearance,

● At approximately 2:33 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of 22nd Avenue for a reported disorderly person. Investigation resulted in Dennis E. Beutel, 52, Monroe being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Bail Jumping for violation conditions of his  bond. Dennis was taken to the Green County Jail where he was held pending an initial court appearance.

● At approximately 8:28 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of 13th Street for a report of a suspicious person. Investigation into the incident resulted in Zachary J. Blackwood,19, South Wayne being arrested on an Arrest Warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Zachary was taken to the Green County Jail where he was held without bond.

On Jan. 4:

● At approximately 3:30 p.m.  Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 12th Avenue and 22nd Street for a two vehicle crash with no reported injuries. Investigation revealed Floyd D.Eckerty II,61, Monroe was traveling eastbound on 22nd Street when he failed to yield the right of way from a yield sign at 12th Avenue. Floyd’s vehicle entered the intersection/ where his vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on 12th Avenue. The northbound vehicle was operated by Joshua P. Hoeltke, 42, Monroe. Both vehicles sustained damage and were driven from the scene. Floyd was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and released pending court.

On Jan. 8:

● 1:28 a.m., officers were called to a vehicle versus a light pole crash, with no reported injuries, in the 800 block of 8th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Francisco Temoxtle Sanchez (27), Monroe, was travelling westbound on 8th Street, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole causing functional vehicle damage. Temoxtle Sanchez was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-lst offense, and cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, operating without a license, operating without insurance, and failure to notify police of an accident. Temoxtle Sanchez was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.

● 5:52 a.m., officers were called to a vehicle versus power pole crash, with no reported injuries, in the 1200 block of 9th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Madalin A. Zentner (25), Monroe, was travelling westbound on 9th Street, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole. Zentner’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Zentner was cited for operating too fast for conditions and released pending a court appearance.

On Jan. 10:

● At approximately 2:06 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of 5th Street. Investigation into the stop resulted in Janet L. Reddick, 42, Monroe, being arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence 1st Offense. Janet was also cited for Improper Stop at a Stop Sign and Operating Left of Centerline. Janet was released to a responsible party pending court.

On Jan. 14:

● At approximately 11:15 p.m., Officers responded to the 2500 block of l0th Street for a reported ongoing physical dispute. Investigation resulted in Hunter S. Santoro, 19, Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Domestic), and Obstructing an Officer. Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole was contacted and a hold was placed on Hunter. Hunter was taken to the Green County Jail, where he was held pending court.

On Jan. 15:

● At 1:44 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 1900 block of 15th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Anthony D. Black (21), Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Black was also cited for speeding, failure to display vehicle license plates, non-registration of a vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Black was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.

On Jan. 16:

● 5:17 PM, officers arrested Patrick J. Alien (30), Monroe, after officers were called for a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred at a residence in the 700 block of 12th Avenue. Alien was charged with criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and substantial battery under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Alien was also subsequently arrested on a hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a violation of parole terms. Alien was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On Jan 18:

● 2:35 a.m., officers arrested Nathaniel T. Wiley (21), Monroe, in the 1000 block of STH 69, on a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole for a probation violation. Wiley was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On Jan. 20:

● 12:33 p.m., officers investigated a domestic incident that occurred in the 2000 block of l7th Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Justin J. Norder (43), Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Laws. Justin posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

On Jan. 22:

● At approximately 1:37 p.m., Officers responded to the intersection of l6th Street and i4th Avenue, for a two vehicle traffic crash with no reported injuries. Investigation into the crash revealed, Amanda R. Lowery, 36, Monroe, was traveling southbound on 14th Avenue, when a vehicle operated by Matthew D. Acevedo,38, Stockton, Illinois, failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign on l6th Street. Matthew s vehicle collided with Amanda’s vehicle causing both vehicles to sustain minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Matthew was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and released pending court.

On Jan. 23:

● At approximately 6:24 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash with no injuries reported, at the intersection of l6th Street and l4th Avenue. Investigation revealed Haden R. Barker, 17, Monroe, was traveling eastbound on l6th Street, when he failed to yield the right of way, after stopping at a stop sign at l4th Avenue. Haden’s vehicle entered the intersection, where it was struck by a vehicle operated by Shayna K. Boeck, 18, Lena, Illinois, who was traveling southbound on l4th Avenue. Both vehicles sustained damage and Shayna’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Haden was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and released, pending court.

● 1:57 p.m., officers were called to a three-vehicle crash, with no reported injuries, in the 600 block of 20th Avenue. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Sheena L. Mclemore (38), Monroe, was southbound on 20th Avenue, and collided with a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle. The second vehicle then collided with a third vehicle, which was also legally parked and unoccupied. All three vehicles sustained functional damage. Mclemore was cited for hit & run to an unattended vehicle, operating while suspended, non-registration of a motor vehicle, and operating without insurance. Mclemore was released pending a court appearance. 


Green County Sheriff

On Jan. 15:

● At 10:51 p.m., Deputies responded to the W600 block of Bud Lane, in the Town of Albany to assist the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Investigation resulted in Larry J. Stafeil, 76 of Albany being arrested for a warrant through the Department of Correct-ions. Stafeil was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

On Jan. 18:

● At 10:34 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Shawn M. Ryan, 40 of Elizabeth was arrested on a warrant through Probation and Parole. Ryan was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

● At 6:29 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8000 block of County Highway P, in the Town of Cadiz, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Gary A. Schwartz, 67 of Winslow was traveling westbound. The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with a road sign. The vehicle continued traveling west and collided with a tree. Schwartz sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Schwartz reported wearing his seatbelt, and the vehicle airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● At 9:12 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 59 and Broughton Road, in the Town of Albany for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Erik C. Melaas, 23 of Albany was traveling west bound on State Highway 59 when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then entered the ditch and collided with a stop sign. Melaas reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was left on scene. Investigation resulted in Melaas being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st-Alcohol) Melaas was cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and Failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Melaas was jailed pending release to a responsible party.

On Jan. 19:

● At 5:38 a.m., Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Street, in the Village of Albany for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Michael E. Cavin, 32 of Brodhead was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to snowy road conditions. Cavin collided with a traffic sign and then entered the ditch. Cavin reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● At 9:55 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe to assist Probation & Parole. Investigation resulted in Robert P. Olson Jr., 39 of Browntown being arrested for a Probation & Parole violation. Olson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

● At 11:17 a.m., Deputies responded to the 1400 block of State Highway 69, in the Village of New Glarus for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Shelbi L.A. Fritsch, 25 of Monroe was traveling northbound, when she slowed for a vehicle turning in front of her. Fritsch was then struck by a following vehicle. Fritsch reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Fritsch’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● The following vehicle was operated by Gerald H. Beckman, 61 of Monroe. Beckman reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Beckman’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● At 12:19 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Ryan A. Berg, 49 of Monroe being arrested for warrants through the Monroe Police Department. Berg was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

On Jan. 20:

● At 2:33 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 blk of 6th Street, City of Monroe, to assist Probation and Parole. Investigation resulted in Douglas E. Rinden, 35, of Janesville being arrested on a warrant issued by probation and parole.  Rinden was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

 On Jan. 23:

● At approximately 3:26 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of E State St and S Water St, Village of Albany, for a single vehicle accident. Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Damien R Anderson, 23, of Albany, was westbound on E State St when he failed to negotiate a curve. Anderson lost control of the vehicle and struck a power pole. Anderson reported no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Anderson’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Anderson was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence. Anderson was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Anderson was released to a responsible party.

On Jan. 24:

● At 9:02 a.m., Deputies along with Green County EMS and Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to the N4100 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Monroe for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by James R. Beer, 76 of Monroe was traveling southbound. Beer exited the roadway and collided with multiple trees. Beer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Beer reported wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags deployed. Beer’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

● At 1:30 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Highland Ave, in the Village of Monticello for the report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Michael A. Smiley, 37 of Monticello being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Intimidation of a Victim both domestic related. Smiley was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

● At 4:42 p.m., Deputies along with Green County EMS and Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to the N2100 block of County Highway K, in the Town of Clarno for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Gladys G. Laube, 87 of Monroe was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle exited the roadway to the west and collided with a mailbox and then a power pole. Gladys reported no injuries and was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. Gladys passenger, Paul D. Laube, 92 of Monroe reported non-life-threatening injuries, and was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A second vehicle, operated by Lisa M. Vavra, 43 of Juda collided with debris from Laube’s vehicle. Vavra reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Vavra’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

On Jan. 25:

● At approximately 7:06 a.m. GRSO responded to a one vehicle rollover in the N7600 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus. Nicholas Dean Pauli, 24, Madison, was southbound in the right hand lane of the passing area. He said the lane was covered in snow and he did not see where the lane ended and went back into two lanes and entered the shoulder. Nicholas said he tried to ease the vehicle back onto the roadway but got sucked into the ditch. The vehicle overturned several times down the hill, and came to rest on its wheels, facing northeast. Nicholas reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained a non-life threatening injury to his hand. Nicholas refused medical services. The vehicle sustained overall disabling damage and had driver’s airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

● At approximately 7:18 a.m., Deputies responded to the W4700 block of Burkhalter Rd., Town of Sylvester, for a single vehicle crash with no injury. Investigation determined the operator, Mallory Fox, 33 of Monroe, was traveling east when she crested a hill and observed a semi unit blocking the lane of travel attempting to back into a driveway. Mallory swerved to avoid the semi unit, exited the roadway on the south shoulder and struck some trees in the area. Mallory reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle had no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. 

● At approximately 7:23 a.m., Deputies, Brodhead Police Department, Brodhead First Response and Brodhead EMS responded to the W800 block of Golf Course Rd., Town of Decatur, for a two vehicle crash with injury. Investigation determined a southbound vehicle being operated by Gavin Pinnow, 17, was negotiating a curve in the roadway. Meanwhile, a northbound vehicle being operated by Chesnie Wilhite, 17, was traveling north on Golf Course Rd., and was attempting to negotiate this curve as well. Chesnie’s vehicle lost control on the snow-covered roadway, crossed the centerline and collided with Gavin’s vehicle. Both vehicles had airbag deployment and were towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Occupants of both vehicles reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured.
