MONROE - A Monroe man was again arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, less than four months after police reported finding him passed out behind the wheel.

It is the fifth DWI charge against Nathan L. Wiesenberg, Jr., 36.

Monroe police stopped him for driving with a suspended license in the 1600 block of 9th Street at 1:31 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.

Arresting officers report Wiesenberg's speech was slurred. After he failed field sobriety tests, he was arrested and taken to Monroe Clinic for a mandatory blood draw.

Wiesenberg is also charged with two counts of felony bail jumping and possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He posted a $500 cash bond Monday, with the conditions that he not drink or drive.

A fourth-offense DWI charge is still pending against Wiesenberg from an arrest Oct. 31, when officers say they found him passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the parking lot of a convenience store on 9th Street, next to an open bottle of beer.

Court records indicate Wiesenberg is convicted of driving drunk in Green County in April 2004 (second offense) and November 2007 (third offense).

His next court date is March 5.
