Lloyd L. Burkhalter age 89 of Monroe, Wisconsin died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home. He was born October 27, 1923 at South Wayne, WI the son of Bert and Nellie (Schultz) Burkhalter and Graduated from South Wayne High School.

Lloyd married Anna Timmons on March 18, 1945 in Monroe and they farmed in the South Wayne area. Lloyd was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754, enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and was a Green Bay Packer fan.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Burkhalter of Monroe; sons, Larry (Joy) Burkhalter of South Wayne & Gary (Debbie) Burkhalter of Browntown; daughters, JoAnn (Gary) McGuire of Browntown & Laureen (Tom) Presny of Janesville; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Delbert Burkhalter.

A Celebration of Lloyd's Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe. Burial will be at a later date.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Lloyd's memory.
