Linda M. Burma, age 62, of rural Browntown, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at her home. She was born on June 8, 1952 in Harvard, IL; the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Kendall) Jacobs. Linda was a graduate of Harvard High School.
Linda and Kenneth Burma were married on April 28th 1973 in Harvard, IL.
Linda was a secretary for Winslow Industries and farmed with her husband Ken, helping with milking and chores.
Linda is a member of Peace Church in Christ, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Winslow.
Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Browntown, son, Brian (Kathy) Burma of Hudson, WI; daughter, Christine (Clayton) Ruegsegger of Browntown, brothers, Steve (Kim) Jacobs, Ronnie (Sherey) Jacobs, and Raymond Jacobs, sisters, Pat (Ben) Vanderpal and Judie (Hugh) Flagan; several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, sister, Barb Hutchinson and a brother, Gordon Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Church in Christ in Browntown with Pastor Wayne Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Saucerman Cemetery.
A visitation will be Friday, September 12, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.
A memorial fund is being established in Linda's memory.
