Leonard E. Patterson, 76, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, March 13, 2015 in his home.
He was born December 7, 1938 in Monroe, WI, the son of Hugh and Rose (Marty) Patterson. Leonard attended Beloit Schools.
Leonard was formerly employed for 41 years at Regal Beloit as a machinist, retiring in 2004. He was a wood worker and craftsman who liked making things with his hands. Leonard enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, doing jigsaw puzzles and collecting sports memorabilia. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cubs fan. Leonard was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #191 and Beloit Eagles Club Aerie #557.
Survivors include his children, Tom (Ann) Patterson of Madison, WI, Chris (Tammy) Patterson of Beloit, WI, and Patricia (Stephanie Tanner) Patterson of Rockford, IL; grandsons, Jeffrey Patterson of Eau Claire, WI, and Zachary Patterson of Kenosha, WI; brother, Harry Lee (Joyce) Patterson Sr. of FL; sister, Kathy (Doug) Foslin of Brodhead, WI; nieces and nephew, Lisa, Laurie and Harry Jr.; and mother of his children, Suzane Patterson of Janesville, WI.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Patricia Rose Patterson.
A Memorial service for Leonard will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Cal Shaver officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, WI. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.
