Kenneth P. Hanson formerly of Woodford WI lost his battle with lung cancer at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky Ohio Oct. 12, 2010. Ken was born to Paul and Leona Hanson on January 14 1950 in Monroe WI. After graduation at South Wayne High School 1968 he joined the USMC and served in Viet Nam. On his return home, he was then a Cheesemaker in Wisconsin and Ohio and later an electrician and HVAC Technician.
Ken was predeceased by his father 1991 mother 1995, wife Lillian 2006, two sisters Connie Ryser 2009 and Dena Hanson 1953 and grandparents. He is survived by sister Patricia (David) Pehl of Harlingen TX and brother Wayne (Nancy) Hanson of Tucson AZ, brother-in-law Mark Ryser and nieces Kathryn, Miranda and Gabrielle Ryser all of Brodhead, WI.
Ken loved to be busy with work, but also made time for hunting, fishing or anything to do outside. He will be remembered for his laugh and willingness to always help out when or where needed.
Private graveside services with military rites will be performed with burial at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington WI at a later date.
