Karl R. "Nick" Rogers, age 77, of Gratiot, WI, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI.
Nick is survived by eight children: Karl (June) Rogers, of Orville, OH, Stuart Rogers of Brodhead, WI, Bernadette (fiancé Tim Hartman) Habeck of Cassville, WI, Jacky (Mark) Bartosik of Browntown, WI, Heidi Hume and Kelly (Jon) Olson both of Monroe, WI, Thad Rogers of Bonita Springs, FL, and Robyn (Jeff) Schrear of Darlington, WI; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Mark (Vicky) Rogers of Lena, IL, and Bruce Rogers of Monroe; and three sisters: Sharon Halvorson of rural Darlington, Francine Hartwig of Monroe, and Julie (Walter) Stoney of Platteville, WI.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 15691 County Road K in rural Darlington with Rev. David Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington with military rites to be accorded by Bates-O'Brien-Howe-Wiegel-Roelli American Legion Post #214 of Darlington. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 508 Main Street in Darlington.
