June Anna Patterson, age 73 of Darlington, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. June was a very loving wife of 54 years, a caring mother and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her life-long love, Frank Patterson; daughters, Cindy (Jack) Kurth and June Patterson; sons, Harry (Paula), Royal (Darlene), John, Lynn, Joe (Phyllis), Mark (Nancy), and Paul Patterson; 24 devoted grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Franklin Patterson Jr.; a daughter, Verlie Patterson; and seven brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1802 8th Street, Monroe. There will be no visitation.
