MONROE - Josephine P. Breitenbach succumbed to acute leukemia on September 1, 2008. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on March 13, 1912 of German immigrants, Michael and Lena Hrybiska Prekop, she attended Holy Angels Schools. She married Frederick W. Breitenbach in Milwaukee in 1932. They lived in Neenah, WI, for many years and after Fred's death in 1965, she moved to Boca Raton, FL to live with her sister "Jay" where she stayed for over 30 years. She loved both golf and bridge, but most of all her faith and her family.

Survivors include: son, Frederick M. Breitenbach (Ellen) of Olathe, KS; daughter, Susan Regez (Rudy) of Monroe, WI; and sister, Matilda Winkel of Falls Church, VA; grandchildren: Rick and Jody Breitenbach of Kansas, David (Fawna) Regez of Evansville and Peter (Hendrica) Regez of Galena; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Trevor, Katy and Alex Breitenbach of Kansas and Luke Regez of Galena. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, and sisters, Helen, Johanna and Agnes.

Family services will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, WI. Memorials may be directed to: Macular Degeneration Research Fund, St. Mary of Lourdes Church in Belleville, or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society-WI Chapter. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
